American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 11/10/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 48 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Work in a community-based hospital Emergency Department, • Care for a diverse patient population including medical, surgical, respiratory, GI/GU, cardiac, neuro, minor trauma, OB/GYN, and pediatric cases, • Unit performs specialized procedures such as chest tubes, thoracentesis, paracentesis, rapid sequence intubation, splinting, procedural sedation, restraints, vacuum D&C, central lines, and ultrasound-guided IVs, • Equipment used includes Rapid Infuser, EZ IO, Lifepack 15 and 20, GE Monitors, GE EKG, and Glidescope, • Day shifts: 4x12 hours from 6:30 to 19:00 with every other weekend required (minimum 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule), • No unit float required unless otherwise needed for like units after brief orientation, • Uses Epic for charting (Epic experience preferred, not required), • Care for patients across all age groups including provision of initial medical care for strokes, STEMIs, major trauma, and pediatric emergencies before transfer, • May care for neonates for less than 11 weeks in the NICU as needed, • Work alongside ED physicians present 24/7, 2 midlevel providers per shift based on day and volume, and a team of RNs, PCTs, and potential LPN support, • Scrubs may be any color but must be free of logos, • Required to complete onsite orientation modules recorded via transcript during orientation, • No travel pairs or groups accepted, • No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved and no time off is permitted during the first week of orientation, • First-time travelers who meet the experience requirements are welcome to apply\n \n Requirements\n, • Active NM or compact RN license required at the time of consideration, • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required, • Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Department RN experience required, • First-time travelers must have at least 2-3 years of experience in a progressive or acute Emergency Department setting, • Must not have been a permanent staff member at the facility within the past year, • Locals within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for this position\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
