Every Trilon Group partner shares the same people-focused paradigm ensuring our culture is at the forefront of all we do full-circle from our people to our clients. -Position Scope- The Project Engineer III – Water/Wastewater leads engineering projects by overseeing all technical and management aspects throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires significant expertise in water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, including design, permitting, compliance, and construction operations. Project Engineer III acts as a technical lead and subject matter expert, collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects. Strong leadership, advanced engineering skills, and project management experience are critical to success in this role. This position may include leading a satellite office that will support the larger organizations’ strategic goals but also build local relationships to gain market share within the office’s location. -Primary Duties & Responsibilities- • Develop detailed project plans, including defining the scope of work, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for complex water and wastewater projects., • Ensure adherence to timelines and budget constraints while meeting client objectives., • Provide advanced engineering design expertise, particularly in hydraulic modeling, treatment and storage systems, and water/sewer pumping systems., • Lead the development of innovative solutions for transmission, distribution, collection, and storage challenges., • Stormwater project experience is beneficial but is not a requirement., • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies through to design, permitting, construction, and close-out., • Ensure that project deliverables align with regulatory standards and best practices for water and wastewater infrastructure., • Ensure that all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental permitting processes., • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals., • Serve as a mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their technical and professional development., • Lead and manage project teams to ensure successful project execution., • Periodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction administration., • Collaborate with project engineers in other offices., • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity and successful outcomes., • Perform other duties as assigned., • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software platforms., • WaterCAD, AutoCAD, REVIT, BioWin, BlueBeam, ICPR experience is a plus., • Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement., • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team., • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills., • Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets., • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate travel to meetings and project deadlines., • Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated., • B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E.
