JOB SUMMARY The Project Manager is responsible for leading higher education and K12 construction projects of varying size and complexity, including new construction, renovations, and campus expansions. This role serves as the primary point of contact for owners, school districts, universities, architects, consultants, and subcontractors. The Project Manager oversees all aspects of project delivery, including budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction, while ensuring alignment with CPPIs mission, vision, and values. KEY QUALIFICATIONS • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship., • Must have a valid drivers license., • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a strong focus onK12 and higher education projects., • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field preferred., • OSHA certification preferred., • Proven experience managing public-sector work, including school districts and university systems., • Strong leadership experience managing project teams, including superintendents and field staff., • Demonstrated understanding of educational facility requirements, phasing, and occupied renovations., • Proficiency in project management software (scheduling, budgeting, and reporting tools)., • Strong communication skills with owners, governing boards, administrators, and design teams., • Commitment to safety, quality control, and stakeholder satisfaction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide full project leadership for K12 and higher education construction projects from preconstruction through closeout., • Serve as the primary liaison for school districts, universities, architects, consultants, and subcontractors, • Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution to ensure successful delivery., • Collaborate closely with superintendents to develop logistics plans, phasing strategies, and means and methods for occupied campuses., • Lead preconstruction efforts, including estimating, scope development, value engineering, and subcontractor buyout., • Manage project financials, including cost control, forecasting, reporting, and profitability tracking., • Ensure strict adherence to contract requirements, public procurement standards, and district/university guidelines., • Maintain compliance with safety regulations, especially in active school and campus environments., • Oversee quality assurance/quality control programs to ensure high standards in educational facility construction., • Manage change orders, negotiate scope and cost impacts, and resolve project challenges proactively., • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones align with academic calendars and occupancy deadlines., • Implement recovery strategies when schedule or budget risks arise., • Lead project closeout, including commissioning, punch list completion, warranty documentation, and turnover to owners., • Foster strong client relationships to support repeat business with education clients., • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and enhanced delivery methods., • Mentor and develop assistant project managers and project engineers., • Perform additional duties as assigned.
