Job Description About the Role Cardinal Pediatric Therapies is seeking an Operations Director to support the performance, growth, and operational consistency of our Arizona region. This role is responsible for building strong, accountable teams and creating an environment where both clients and staff can succeed. The Operations Director partners closely with clinical leadership while overseeing day-to-day operations across assigned service areas, supporting team performance, service continuity, and the overall client and staff experience. This position requires a leader who takes ownership, follows through, solves problems proactively, and communicates clearly. The role includes a combination of field leadership, operational oversight, and remote administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is based in the Greater Phoenix area, comfortable supporting teams across multiple settings, and is willing to travel throughout Arizona as needed. Success in this role comes from staying engaged, leading with accountability, building strong relationships, and continuously improving the systems and support that help teams and clients thrive. What You Will Own * Own the operational performance of assigned teams, service areas, and locations across the Arizona region * Build, lead, and support BCBAs, Behavior Technicians, and support staff to create teams that are stable, accountable, and growing * Oversee staffing and scheduling in a way that supports client access, team efficiency, and operational sustainability * Partner with clinical leadership to support consistent service delivery aligned with treatment plans and company standards * Support admissions, onboarding, and service readiness so clients are able to start services without unnecessary delay * Stay accountable to key performance indicators and take action when performance gaps or operational issues arise * Oversee payroll-related processes and support accuracy in timekeeping, attendance practices, and operational coordination * Maintain strong operational systems, communication practices, and follow-through across teams and service environments * Build relationships in the community to support long-term growth, referral development, and local partnerships * Lead team conversations that are clear, direct, and grounded in expectations, accountability, and support * Operate in alignment with company policies, clinical standards, payer requirements, and regulatory expectations What Success Looks Like * Teams are staffed in a way that feels stable, responsive, and sustainable * Clients are starting services in a timely manner and receiving consistent support * Team members feel supported, know what is expected, and continue to improve over time * Operational and financial goals are being met without sacrificing quality * The region is operating in a way that reflects ownership, organization, and follow-through This Role Is a Good Fit If You * Take ownership of outcomes and follow through without needing to be chased * Care deeply about supporting your team while still holding clear expectations * Step in to solve problems instead of waiting for direction * Communicate directly and respectfully, even when conversations are difficult * Stay steady when things change and keep moving forward * Are comfortable supporting teams across multiple locations and service settings Position Qualifications: * Required: * Minimum of three years of experience in ABA, healthcare operations, or a related field * Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, operations, or multiple service locations * Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive performance across a geographically dispersed region * Ability to communicate professionally with team members, families, and external partners * Must reside in the Greater Phoenix area * Must be willing and able to travel frequently throughout Arizona based on business needs * Must be comfortable working remotely for administrative responsibilities when not traveling * Preferred: * Experience in multi-site, regional, or field-based operations * Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and service delivery models * Experience in admissions, scheduling, or operational growth initiatives * Experience with CRM, EHR, or scheduling systems such as HubSpot or CentralReach * Experience managing budgets, forecasting, or financial performance Work Environment: * This is a hybrid position based in the Greater Phoenix area. * The role requires frequent travel throughout Arizona to support assigned teams, locations, and operational needs. When not traveling, this position will work remotely while managing administrative duties, operational follow-up, planning, communication, and other leadership responsibilities. * Frequent interaction with clinical teams, clients, families, and community partners is expected.
