Job Description Job Title: Groundskeeper Job Description The Groundskeeper maintains the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of multiple residential properties. This role focuses on groundskeeping, snow and ice removal, and interior and exterior common-area cleaning to ensure each property remains well-kept, safe, and visually appealing for residents and visitors. Responsibilities • Maintain the exterior of properties through regular landscaping, lawn care, raking leaves, mulching, and general property upkeep., • Perform snow and ice removal as needed, including sidewalks, stairs, and building entrances during winter months to ensure safe access., • Clean interior and exterior common areas, including parking lots, trash areas, hallways, and stairwells., • Perform routine trash removal and ensure trash areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with site standards., • Carry out floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and maintaining interior flooring in common areas., • Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning materials and supplies, and report replenishment needs in a timely manner., • Enhance and maintain the curb appeal of each property by keeping grounds, entrances, and shared spaces neat and presentable., • Hands-on experience with groundskeeping, including lawn care, landscaping, and general exterior property maintenance., • Proficiency in trash removal and maintaining clean and orderly trash and recycling areas., • Experience with cleaning tasks for both interior and exterior common areas, including hallways, stairwells, and parking lots., • Floor care experience, including routine cleaning and upkeep of interior floors in common spaces., • Ability to perform snow and ice removal on sidewalks, stairs, and entrances during winter conditions., • Capability to maintain and manage an inventory of cleaning materials and supplies., • Experience working as a floor technician or in a similar facilities or janitorial role., • Previous experience maintaining multiple properties or large residential communities., • Comfort working independently across different sites while meeting established standards. Work Environment This role is based directly at several apartment properties in and around Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, and Buffalo, NY, with one primary opening in the Tonawanda area. You work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a predictable daytime schedule. The position involves both indoor and outdoor work in all seasons, including winter conditions for snow and ice removal. The environment includes residential buildings, parking lots, common hallways, stairwells, and landscaped grounds, requiring comfort with physical tasks, working outdoors, and using standard cleaning and groundskeeping tools and equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Tonawanda, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
