To see our fill list of Team Member Benefits please visit our career site: Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: The Audio-Visual Technician III (AV Tech III) is responsible for overseeing live and recorded video production, directing multi-camera setups, operating video switchers, and ensuring high-quality visual output for shows, events, promotions, and internal content. This role requires advanced technical expertise with current and emerging video systems, the ability to lead operators during production, and strong creative capability as a content creator. The ideal candidate is experienced in camera operation, switching, live direction, and post-production workflows and can seamlessly adapt to upgraded video equipment as it is implemented. This team member will support digital video distribution systems (Optibase, Q-Sys, Tripeplay etc), Crestron, AMX, CobraNet, DSP and all associated technologies such as digital signage, TV and other feeds, microphones, sound systems and more. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position) • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Rockford their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations to provide superior guest service., • Direct and switch multi-camera video productions in real time., • Collaborate with audio, lighting, and stage teams to ensure cohesive production quality., • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly during live events., • Maintain familiarity with both existing and new CapEx-funded video systems., • Operate handheld, fixed, PTZ, and specialty cameras as needed., • Train or guide additional camera operators during events., • Maintain awareness of framing, composition, and visual standards., • Develop promotional videos, recap videos, social media content, and internal communication pieces., • Capture, edit, and deliver video content using industry-standard software and workflows., • Collaborate with leadership on creative direction, branding consistency, and production value., • Maintain and organize video gear, switcher profiles, and project files., • Serve as a technical mentor to A/V Tech I and II, offering expertise, coaching, and support to foster skill development and ensure alignment with departmental standards., • Strategic planning for all in-house AV systems., • Partner with business units to design and deliver innovative AV solutions., • Ensure exemplary AV support and guest service to internal/external clients., • Consult and contribute to Software Deployment Support and Maintenance., • Lead complex or strategic AV projects as assigned by management or design teams., • Maintain AV inventories, support procedures/documentation and current configuration files for AV systems., • Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers as well as production manager, management and design teams on maintenance and services provided for equipment and service support agreements., • Other duties as assigned. NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Attend seminars when needed., • Attend and complete all assigned training based on required knowledge base for applicable technologies and career objectives and goals. EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) 5+ years’ experience Audio/Visual Implementation, Support (Advanced), Installation, Troubleshooting, and Repairs. • Demonstrated experience as a Video Director, Switcher, or Broadcast-stye operator., • Proficiency with professional video cameras, control systems, and multi-camera environments., • Experience with video editing and content creation (Premiere, Final Cut, or similar), • Data Networking Fundamentals, • Q-Sys certification required, • Dante Level 1 & 2 level certification required., • Certification of Dante level 3required within 6 months, • Avnu Certification required within 6 months, • Cisco experience preferred, CCNA certification a plus., • Optibase MGW 1000/ IIS / Crestron Programming / CoolSigns experience a plus., • ICIA CTS certification is preferred., • Prior experience as a Production Technician preferred., • Requires well developed written and verbal communications skills., • Friendly and service oriented., • Reliability and ability to work independently. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.): • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Board standards., • Must successfully pass background check., • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age., • Must successfully pass OSHA 30 or greater safety training certification within 3 months, • Must successfully pass First Aid CPR/AED training within 3 months., • Must be able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds., • Ability to withstand loud environments up to and exceed 110 decibels (noise protection available) KNOWLEDGE OF: • Video routing, signal flow, switching systems, and file-based workflows., • Upcoming video system upgrades planned in CapEx., • Live event production environments., • Basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities., • Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word is required., • Dante networking ABILITY TO: • Assist with installation, testing, and operation of new video equipment., • Be creative in storytelling and content development., • Troubleshoot and repair and fix AV systems independently in the absence of Production Manager and/or Assistant Production Manager., • Install and maintain AV equipment to ensure 99% uptime., • Communicate system issues and incidents to impacted parties., • Document and report on all support activities per departmental policies., • Problem solve under pressure., • Be available to work different shifts that will include nights and weekends., • Represent Hard Rock Casino Rockford with media, associations, and any other third parties as needed., • Push, pull and lift 10-50 lbs., • Bend, stoop and reach on a limited basis., • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing., • Read and comprehend industry periodicals, artist riders, detailed reports, memos, or letters., • Participate in the development and administration of goals, objectives, and procedures., • Operate various types of office equipment.
