Job DescriptionMechanical DesignerDepartment: Engineering - Mechanical Reports to: Mechanical Engineering Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Posted Hourly Range: $25.96 - $29.00/hour Summary Prepare and review layout drawings for new and existing products. Produce Bills of Materials for installations and assemblies. Assign and release part numbers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare and review layout drawings for new and existing products., • Produce Bills of Material for installations and assemblies., • Assign and release part numbers and special parts for orders., • Provide technical support to Customer Service, Customers, Sales and Manufacturing., • Work with vendors to locate components and obtain quotes., • Maintain project records.knowledge, skills and abilities Must have knowledge of Auto-Cad, Autodesk Inventor, Adept, and MS Office software. Knowledge of structural design and sheet metal forming a plus. Occasional field service work. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None WORK ENVIRONMENT Usual office working conditions with moderate noise such as computers and printers, telephones and co-workers. Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, odor, dust, heat, cold or chemicals. Minimum qualifications An Associates Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related training and experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
