Job DescriptionSalary: $25.00 per hour Position Summary The LPR Trainer is responsible for onboarding and training new hires on the safe, accurate, and effective operation of the DRN LPR system and HNS Recovery's field scanning processes. This role delivers hands-on, ride-along, and classroom-style training covering DRN LPR equipment operation and troubleshooting, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, effective plate scanning techniques (street-by-street in residential and commercial areas), grid scanning and using ClearPlan maps to identify vehicles assigned for repossession, and safe driving habits and field readiness evaluation. The trainer will also observe and evaluate trainee performance (including driving behaviors and decision-making) to determine readiness and fit for the role. Key Responsibilities Training Delivery and Onboarding • Train new hires on DRN LPR system operations, including daily workflow, scanning methods, alerts, and system best practices., • Conduct structured onboarding including policies, safety standards, performance expectations, and field procedures., • Provide hands-on field training with ride-alongs for real-world instruction and skill Teach trainees how to: • Power up, log in, and properly operate DRN hardware/software., • Confirm camera alignment, function, and capture, • Identify and troubleshoot common camera/system, • Verify that cameras are working properly before and during, • Protect, handle, and secure company Scanning Procedures and Route Execution Train new hires to scan: • Street-by-street with thorough, • Residential and commercial facilities (parking lots, retail centers, apartment complexes, business parks, )., • High-probability areas while maintaining compliance and safe driving Train on operational search strategies including: • Grid scanning techniques and zone coverage, • Using ClearPlan maps to locate vehicles assigned for, • Identifying out vehicles and prioritizing search, • Observe trainee driving habits and field behavior to assess safety, awareness, decision-making, and, • Evaluate route discipline, scanning effectiveness, and ability to follow SOPs and, • Provide clear coaching feedback and document, • Recommend readiness for solo operation or additional training time when, • Maintain training checklists, completion records, and evaluation, • Track trainee progress against required competencies and training, • Suggest improvements to training materials, checklists, and SOPs based on field, • Assist in updating training content as DRN tools, mapping functions, and company strategies Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong ability to teach, coach, and communicate clearly with new, • Working knowledge (or ability to quickly learn) DRN LPR operations, grid scan methodology, and map-based search planning., • Strong attention to detail and ability to train others on accuracy and, • Comfort working independently in the field and leading ride-, • Ability to remain calm, professional, and safety-focused in fast-paced, • Ability to document training progress and provide objective, • Produce and update Training Material for New Hires. Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)., • Valid driver's license and ability to operate company, • Ability to work the assigned schedule (day or night shift, including weekends as needed)., • Ability to pass pre-employment screening as required by company policy (for example: background check, MVR check, drug screening)., • Prior experience operating an LPR system (DRN experience strongly preferred)., • Experience in repossession support, asset recovery operations, or related field, • Prior training, coaching, or lead experience (formal or informal)., • Mechanical/technical comfort troubleshooting devices, cameras, mounts, and basic connectivity Physical and Work Requirements • Extended driving and field work during the, • Ability to enter/exit a vehicle frequently and conduct, • Ability to lift and handle equipment as needed (mounts, cables, device components)., • Ability to work in varying conditions (heat, cold, rain; day/night visibility conditions).
