Over its 36-year history, the organization has engaged thousands of young people in its innovative youth development programs that promote global awareness and action, building their agency to effect change in their community and beyond. We are seeking an experienced Sports Specialist to join our High School Team. The specialist will design and lead engaging activities that promote personal development, academic enrichment, and social-emotional learning for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth and a talent for creating inclusive and stimulating environments. This is a seasonal position, starting on February 28, 2026, and expected to end on June 13, 2026. Key Responsibilities: Program Development and Implementation: • Plan, organize, and coach a team of students for specific sports: volleyball, soccer, or tennis, • Develop lesson plans that are age-appropriate, culturally responsive, and aligned with DYCD and Global Kids guidelines and standards., • Facilitate activities that encourage teamwork, leadership, and positive social interactions. Student Engagement and Support: • Foster a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all participants., • Encourage student participation and engagement in all activities. Hours/Wages/Benefits: Activity Specialists will be required to work April – June during after-school hours and Saturday mornings, plus additional hours for any required training and preparation. SEIT will deliver instructional and behavioral support aligned with the student’s IEP/IESP goals, collaborate with school staff and related service providers, and document progress consistently. This is a 5-hour per week mandate in a supportive school setting. Duties: Provide 1:1 and/or small-group SEIT services as outlined in the student’s mandate and IEP/IESP.
