The Ferry Captain is responsible for the safe transportation of all island visitors to and from Cathleen Stone Island on our 65 passenger ferry. In addition, the Ferry Captain may be responsible for operating a smaller vessel to support the Programs Department in student course evacuations. The Ferry Captain reports to the Director of Operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Serves as Master of a 65 USCG inspected passenger vessel * Operates a variety of small, uninspected passenger vessels and work boats * Performs minor maintenance tasks as outlined in our Planned Maintenance Program * Occasional overnights may be required * Responsible for the safe navigation of all CSIOBS owned vessels * Responsible for the safe embarkation/disembarkation of passengers * Responsible for managing all vessel crew (typically consisting of one deckhand) ACCOUNTABILITITES * Vessel crew directly reports to the Captain on duty QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 5 years working onboard a vessels * Minimum of 3 years as Master of a vessel * Must currently hold a 100 Ton Masters license minimum * FCC Marine Radio Operators Permit required to be obtained within 3 months of start date * Must be comfortable making decisions that affect life and property, often in stressful conditions. * Desire to contribute, by way of fulfilling job duties, to the organizational mission of providing character development for Bostons young people. Summary Supports space occupancy planning and data management requests related to low headcount move projects (including individual, transfers, offboards and leaves). Responsible for the lifecycle (open through completion) of SIM-T requests and FMS updates related to desk data corrections, accommodation requests, daily services, individual moves and small team move projects. Accountable for responding to customer requests according to severity within established Key Performance Indicators or Service Line Agreements while maintaining correspondence with end-users, following communication and customer service standards. Responsible for cadenced space audits and reporting findings to facility management and post-occupancy vendor partners to ensure space is captured accurately within Amazons Global Real Estate & Facilities space management platforms. Supports move and launch projects as needed. May supervise or support workplace services team members depending on area requirements and team structure. *This position is required in office a minimum of 4 days a week. Essential duties and responsibilities • Daily SIM ticket management for Daily Service Tickets, Data Corrections, Individual Moves (L7 and below), Small Team Moves (<10 headcount), Onboards/Transfers, Accommodation Requests, Locker Management, Specialty Projects, • Manages workflows to meet all Service Line Agreements requirements by providing daily correspondence, updates and resolutions for client needs via ticketing system., • Responsible for FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment)/supply chain orders and desktop technology per customer request, within design standards, while ensuring deployment by scheduled date. Job Description Position Overview: The Operations Manager assists the General Manager in managing property operations and maintenance at Van Ness, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and building regulations. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee building operations and maintenance, ensuring safety compliance with codes, OSHA, and MSDS. · Foster positive relationships with tenants and respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours. · Manage in-house maintenance staff and third-party vendors (security, cleaning, etc.). · Recruit, train, and evaluate maintenance team performance. · Ensure compliance with safety protocols and manage employee training. · Support in maintaining market-ready apartments and assist with vendor scheduling for repairs. · Perform emergency services on-call and manage repairs (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.). · Maintain building systems (HVAC, plumbing, safety) and implement preventative maintenance procedures. · Monitor utility consumption and manage energy-saving initiatives. · Assist General Manager with budgeting, procurement, capital projects, and vendor contracts. · Coordinate property inspections and quality assurance. · Lead emergency response operations and maintain necessary records.
