Operations & Vendor/Studio Onboarding Manager (Marketplace & Logistics) Location: Los Angeles preferred Type: Full-Time (W-2) Start: ASAP (aligned with Marketplace beta + 2026 launch phases) Reports to: Founder & CEO The Role SetSwap is seeking an Operations & Vendor/Studio Onboarding Manager to lead the real-world execution of our platform. This role is responsible for turning partnerships and inventory into live, usable, and fulfillable activity on SetSwap, ensuring that items can be listed, found, sold, and delivered reliably. You will work directly with studios, vendors, and warehouse teams to bring structure to complex, often unorganized environments while building systems that scale over time. This is a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of inventory, logistics, and operational systems. Your role and scope will evolve as SetSwap grows. There may be travel associated with this role. What You’ll Own Operational Onboarding & Activation • Lead the onboarding of studios, production companies, and vendors from initial engagement through live, high-quality inventory and successful first transactions, • Translate high-level agreements into practical, executable workflows, • Work directly with warehouse teams and operators to ensure inventory is properly structured and ready for use, • Develop repeatable onboarding systems that can scale across multiple partners and market Inventory Organization & Retrieval Systems (Critical) • Design and implement systems that ensure items can be reliably located after they are sold, • Operate within real-world environments that are often: 1. unstructured, 2. inconsistently labeled, 3. actively in use • Create practical solutions such as: 1. location tagging (zones, aisles, sections, containers), 2. labeling systems, 3. photo documentation, 4. inventory mapping workflows • Establish clear standards so that any listed item can be found quickly and consistently Marketplace & RentalSpace Execution • Oversee day-to-day operational flow from listing → transaction → fulfillment, • Support partners in executing rentals and sales in real-world conditions, • Identify and resolve operational issues that impact reliability or user experience, • Ensure early transactions run smoothly and build trust with partners Shipping, Logistics & Fulfillment • Design and manage shipping workflows across: 1. small parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.), 2. freight and large-scale shipments • Coordinate with logistics providers, carriers, and vendors, • Solve challenges such as: 1. multi-location pickups, 2. bulk shipments, 3. time-sensitive deliveries for productions • Build relationships and processes that optimize cost, speed, and reliability Union-Aware Operations • Operate effectively within unionized environments (e.g., studios, warehouses, production settings), • Understand role boundaries, chain of command, and when coordination with union labor is required, • Ensure operational plans respect existing workflows and relationships, • Adapt execution strategies to align with union expectations and avoid disruption Future Storage & Logistics Systems • Work closely with leadership to support the rollout of storage and container-based logistics systems, • Help develop operational workflows for: 1. container organization, 2. inventory tracking within storage units, 3. movement and distribution across locations • Contribute to building scalable infrastructure for long-term logistics operations Operational Systems & Process Development • Build and maintain SOPs for onboarding, inventory management, and fulfillment, • Create systems to track: 1. listings, 2. shipments, 3. rentals, 4. operational issues • Continuously improve workflows based on real-world feedback, • Prepare operations to scale across new partners and markets Cross-Functional Alignment • Work closely with internal teams to ensure operational realities are reflected in platform workflows, • Provide feedback from the field to improve systems, processes, and user experience, • Ensure alignment between how the platform is intended to work and how it functions in practice What We’re Looking For Experience • 4–10+ years in asset management, operations, logistics, production, or supply chain roles, • Experience in film/TV production, studio operations, or similar environments strongly preferred, • Experience working in or around unionized environments (IATSE or similar) preferred, • Experience managing freight shipping, logistics coordination, or vendor operations, • Experience building or improving operational systems in real-world environments Core Competencies • Strong operational problem-solving ability, • Ability to bring structure to unstructured environments, • Comfortable managing complex logistics and multiple stakeholders, • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, • Ability to balance speed with reliability Working Style • Hands-on and execution-focused, • High ownership mentality, • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, • Proactive and solutions-oriented, • Adaptable in real-world, fast-moving environments, • Passionate about the mission of SetSwap Compensation • $75,000 base salary, • Bonus potential based on company performance, • Equity potential (depending on experience and timing) Why This Role Matters SetSwap succeeds or fails based on whether it works in the real world.
