Primary Function: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of complex water and wastewater projects, from proposal and initiation through execution, control, and closeout. This role carries full accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client satisfaction—often across large, multidisciplinary teams and aggressive delivery schedules. The Senior Project Manager’s objective is to deliver outstanding client outcomes, maintain trusted client relationships, and consistently achieve strong financial performance while helping to scale Ardurra’s Texas water practice. Primary Duties: • Planning and Execution, • Participates in project costing and bid preparation to the extent required, • Review assigned project(s) after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences, and develop schedules, budgets, manning tables, vendor lists, and progress billing points, • Submits documents to Federal, state, and local authorities for code compliance review and obtains the various permits required, • Manages and minimizes project risks for the interest of Ardurra, • Uses Earned Value Management (EVM) to execute, manage and control projects, • Ensures Quality Control reviews are completed at proper milestones, • Tracks Accounts Receivable and ensuring that invoices are paid in a timely manner, • Team Leadership, • Forms a project work team and sees that responsibilities are assigned, and execution of tasks are begun and completed according to schedule, • Builds high-performing team and drives for results, • Communication, • Establishes contractor-client liaison network to keep all interested parties informed of project planning, start date, and work progress, • Holds regularly scheduled project progress review meetings to ensure that:, • A project contract’s terms, conditions, and specifications are being met, • Project personnel adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies, • Delays and cost overruns, at best, are entirely avoided, or, at worst, kept to a minimum, • Manpower, equipment, materials, and quality problems are recognized for timely intervention and resolution, • On-site supervision maintains staff morale and interacts appropriately with client counterparts, • Information for progress billing purposes is submitted correctly and on time, • Meets with client management as necessary during a project’s terms to resolve issues and at a project’s completion to obtain final client approvals Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent * 10–15 years of experience in water and wastewater project delivery * Proven success managing large, complex engineering projects with multidisciplinary teams * Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; state licensing requirements may apply * Demonstrated ability to manage clients, mentor staff, and deliver strong financial performance * Experience supporting proposals and growth initiatives is strongly preferred Why Ardurra? The Sr. PM will delegate work, monitor, and track direct and indirect expenditures, & oversee labor. Sr.PM will manage all subcontractors and any other parties involved with the project. Sr. PMs will create a schedule of values for each project, create changes orders as needed, evaluate job progress and coordinate with management and accounting for monthly billing. Specific Responsibilities: Assume primary project leadership responsibilities in partnership with other key team members and project personnel. Evaluate the contractual scope of work. Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site project superintendent. Prepare, issue and update master project schedule to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget. Manage financial aspects of contracts (costs, billings, and collections) to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow while simultaneously maintaining a positive relationship with client. Manage risks. Investigate potentially serious situations to circumvent problems or promptly implement corrective measures as required. Ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements and Enterprise Electrical standards. Supervise/mentor the work of other project managers and assistant project managers, when assigned. Assume additional responsibilities as directed by group vice president, owner, or as project dictates.
