Creating Environments." by building lasting partnerships. • Follow us on LinkedIn -> Miller Legg, • Learn about us and our firms -> Miller Legg Essential Responsibilities: • Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of survey instruments including total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, data collectors, and levels., • Collect, record, and verify survey data under the direction of the Party Chief., • Learn and apply all company-specific survey codes to accurately perform line work and collect survey features., • Assist in establishing reference points, lines, and elevations for construction or mapping purposes., • Perform basic calculations and quality checks on collected data to ensure accuracy., • Maintain organized field notes and digital records of survey data., • Transport, inventory, and maintain survey equipment to ensure readiness for field work., • Assist in clearing survey lines and preparing sites for measurement activities., • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment., • Support other field duties as assigned, including assisting with project logistics and client interactions as needed. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in surveying, geomatics, or engineering technology preferred., • 1+ year of experience in land surveying or construction layout preferred (entry-level candidates considered with training)., • Familiarity with modern survey instruments (e.g., Trimble, Topcon, Leica) and data collection software is a plus., • Basic understanding of survey principles, geometry, and measurements., • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and maps., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy., • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel to different job sites as needed., • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand, walk, and carry survey equipment for extended periods., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate uneven terrain safely. Work Environment Work is primarily performed outdoors on construction sites, undeveloped land, and transportation corridors with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and terrain.
