Job DescriptionSalary: $75,000.00-$82,000.00 annually plus bonus potential Set against the sparkling backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, Tower23 Hotel is modern boutique hotel with an award-winning restaurant, JRDN. Known for our casually sophisticated style, stunning ocean views, and chic California vibes, were looking for a driven, relationship-focused, full-time Sales Manager who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and knows how to turn moments into memorable events. What Youll Do: • Own the full sales cycle for hotel room blocks, negotiated corporate accounts, private dining, group events, and buyouts from inquiry to event completion., • Generate group block nights for Tower23 Hotel through small to midsize group, corporate, social, wedding, leisure opportunities., • Sell and coordinate catering, private dining, and event experiences at JRDN and Tower23., • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, social event planners, and local partners, • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through room block set up, planning, menu selection, and event logistics, • Collaborate closely with culinary, operations, and service teams to ensure every event exceeds expectations, • Prospect and generate new business through outreach, networking, and community engagement, • Conduct engaging site tours of JRDN and Tower23, • Prepare proposals, contracts, and event orders with a high level of detail and accuracy, • Lead event execution alongside the operations team - ensuring seamless service and client satisfaction, • Track and report on sales activity, goals, and revenue performance, • Plan and support on-property events, • Stay ahead of trends in hospitality, events, and dining to keep JRDN competitive and innovative What We Are Looking For: • 35 years of progressive experience in hospitality sales, catering, or event management with proven success generating group block revenue and event/catering sales., • A natural relationship-builder with strong closing skills and a passion for guest experience, • Experience with negotiating contracts through direct sales efforts, telephone solicitation and prospecting and proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals, • Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations and event execution, • Exceptional communication - both written and verbal - with a polished, professional presence (bilingual is a plus to be able to communicate with international guests and clients), • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through, • Ability to stay calm, flexible, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment, • Experience with sales and event platforms (Tripleseat experience is a plus), Property Management Systems (Stayntouch experience is a plus), Point-of Sales systems (Toast experience is a plus), and Microsoft Office, • Self-motivated, proactive, and energized by both independent work and team collaboration, • RBS certification and Food Handlers (or the ability to obtain them after hire with company support) Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Why Youll Love It Here: • Competitive salary - $75,000.00-$82,000.00 annually plus generous bonus potential, • Cell Phone Reimbursement, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance available, • Paid vacation and separate sick time, • Access to a free employee assistance program (EAP), • Participation in Calsavers Retirement Savings Program, • Employee discounts and perks across all Eat.Drink.Sleep locations in San Diego, Chula Vista, Catalina Island, Bakersfield, and Lake Havasu If you know how to turn leads into lasting relationships and events into experiences, wed love to meet you.
