Job Description We are searching for friendly and energetic full-time Shift Supervisors at our locations in Grand Island, NY for mornings (6am-2pm) & afternoons (1pm-9pm) to ensure that all restaurant operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the activities of restaurant staff, expediting customers' orders as needed, and maintaining a clean, well-run restaurant. To be successful as a Shift Supervisor, you should exercise effective management skills and take necessary disciplinary actions to address poor staff performance. Ultimately, a top-performing Shift Supervisor should be able to achieve exceptional customer service and ensure that customers have a pleasant restaurant experience. Job Description Customer Service: • Lead by example in demonstrating and reinforcing positive customer service behaviors, • Respond to customer service complaints, resolving problems, and turning negative situations into positive ones, • Assist in scheduling staff breaks and tasks to maintain high Tim Hortons standards throughout the day, • Pre-screen and interview employees to fill various openings, • Support the restaurant's training program and ensure employees have the necessary tools and support, • Supervise the performance of hourly employees during shift, ensuring alignment with company policies and taking, • corrective action when necessary, • Stay updated on health and safety regulations and employment legislation, • Ensure proper merchandising of products, • Promote the principles of REV standards, • Evaluate and focus on areas requiring greater performance from employees, • Operational Analysis:, • Maintain a productive and safe work environment, following all company operating, food safety, security, health and, • safety, and employment standards, • Monitor food flow and equipment maintenance to serve safe food to customers, • Stay informed of new information through available resources, • Adhere to all operational standards and guidelines for product preparation., • Prepare all products accurately by following the order monitor., • Communicate showcase and product needs to ensure availability for customers., • Regularly monitor and record temperatures of required products., • Follow all restaurant policies, procedures, and standards., • Practice proper hand washing techniques and adhere to sanitation guidelines., • Complete all sanitation tasks as outlined. Health & Safety: • Work in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation., • Follow safe work practices and procedures., • Use required personal protective equipment., • Report any injuries, accidents, unsafe conditions, or contraventions of health and safety regulations promptly to, • the Restaurant Manager or Human Resources., • High school diploma or GED (must be at least 18 years of age), • Minimum of 3 months previous food service management experience, • ServSafe Manager Certified, • Strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills, • Excellent knowledge of Tim Hortons products and procedures, • Action and results-oriented mindset, • Strong interpersonal skills, including motivating, delegation, conflict management, respect for others, and active, • listening, • Frequent reaching and manual dexterity., • Continuous standing on tiled surfaces., • Use of headset for order processing at the drive-thru., • Ability to stand for long periods., • Frequent walking and occasional lifting of supplies/products., • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
