Job Description The Director of Radiographic Testing (RT) provides strategic and operational leadership for all RT programs across Tulsa Inspection Resources, LLC (TIR). This role is responsible for establishing technical standards, ensuring regulatory and client compliance, and driving performance, quality, and growth of RT services. The Director partners with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to develop workforce strategy, enhance technical capabilities, and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all regions. This position serves as the company’s subject matter expert for RT and is accountable for program governance, inspector competency, and continuous improvement initiatives. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (additional duties may be assigned) • Provide strategic direction and oversight of all RT operations, including long-term planning, scalability, and performance across multiple regions, • Serve as the company’s subject matter expert for RT/NDE methods, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications, • Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide RT policies, procedures, and quality standards, • Partner with executive leadership, operations, and recruiting to forecast workforce needs and develop certification and training pipelines, • Oversee field performance, quality metrics, and compliance outcomes across all active projects, • Lead talent development initiatives, including training programs, certification pathways, and career progression for RT personnel, • Provide technical guidance on complex inspections, quality issues, and client escalations, • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping for RT activities, certifications, OQ compliance, and audit results, • Collaborate with Quality, Safety, and Operations teams to drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis efforts, • Support business development efforts through client engagement, technical presentations, and proposal support, • Oversee RT equipment standards, technology adoption, and implementation of emerging inspection tools, • Monitor operational KPIs, budgets, and project performance; provide regular reporting and recommendations to executive leadership, • Maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations to ensure alignment and credibility, • Lead internal and external audits, including compliance reviews and corrective action plans, • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, • 10+ years of experience in RT/NDE within pipeline integrity, mechanical integrity, construction, or related industries, • Proven leadership experience managing multi-site or multi-state operations, • Advanced knowledge of RT and related NDE methods (e.g., UT, MT, PT, PAUT), • Strong working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ASNT), • Experience with Operator Qualification (OQ) programs, certification management, and audit processes, • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive long-term strategic initiatives, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including executive-level and client-facing interactions, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational/reporting systems, • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment, • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement BENEFITS • Competitive Salary, • Medical, dental, vision, • Company Paid Long Term Disability, • Company Paid Life Insurance, • 401K Plan and Company Match, • Paid Holidays, • Paid Time Off, • Referral Bonus Program, • Internal Training and Cross Training for all NDT functions WORKING CONDITIONS Internal: Primarily office-based with regular collaboration across departments External: Periodic travel required for client meetings, field visits, audits, and industry engagement PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods as needed, • Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment, • Occasional field visits requiring outdoor work in varying weather conditions, • Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet business demands COMPANY OVERVIEW Tulsa Inspection Resources has proudly served the industry for over 20 years as the premier inspection and integrity management service provider.
