Location: New York City Department: New York Operations Reports To: Senior Superintendent and/or Project Manager (project-based) A well-established construction firm is seeking a Superintendent to manage field operations on healthcare construction projects in New York City. This role requires strong trade knowledge, the ability to independently manage specialty partners, and a thorough understanding of NYC safety and regulatory requirements. • Knowledge of specific field trades, • Strong understanding of Local Law 196, • Thorough understanding of OSHA, NYCDOB, and FDNY regulations, • Understanding of LEED material requirements, • Manage assigned specialty partners and trade scopes, • Actively lead foreman meetings for trade-specific coordination, • Assist with and enforce jobsite layout and logistics execution, • Direct field work and resolve day-to-day job-site conflicts, • Collect, review, and enforce daily huddles, • Implement and enforce the Site Safety Plan, • Partner with Project Managers to create, review, and enforce JHA/PTP plans, • Run IIF committee meetings as assigned, • Coordinate inspections with trade inspectors and authorities, • Ensure correct and quality materials are delivered to the jobsite, • Manage plans, specifications, and quality for assigned trades, • Ensure permits are current and properly maintained, • Assist in writing and reviewing Exhibit A documents, • Create, review, and support RFIs, • Develop material storage plans based on ROJ logs, • Create and maintain trade-specific lookahead schedules and manpower tracking, • Complete required daily and monthly reports, • Assist with punch list and project closeout activities, • Proven leadership in the field, • Strong communication with internal teams and external partners, • Ability to recognize risks and hazards on the jobsite, • Strong organizational and scheduling skills, • 3–5 years of construction experience, • 1–2 years of healthcare construction experience required, • NYC SST Card required, • Salary Range: $90,000 – $105,000, • Healthcare package, • 401k match, • Holiday Bonus, • Vacation time
