Position Overview: The Uniform Supervisor is responsible for providing high-quality alterations, repairs, and garment maintenance services for hotel uniforms, guest clothing (as needed), and soft furnishings. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced, luxury hotel environment. Key Responsibilities: • Perform alterations, repairs, and adjustments on staff uniforms and guest garments with precision and efficiency., • Maintain and repair hotel linens, drapes, upholstery, and soft goods as needed., • Conduct fittings for staff uniforms and assist in measuring and tailoring new garments., • Ensure all sewing and alteration work meets the hotel’s luxury standards., • Handle guest requests for pressing, minor garment repairs, or alterations with utmost confidentiality and care., • Maintain an organized and clean work area, including sewing machines and tools., • Keep detailed records of all completed work, inventory of fabrics, threads, and supplies., • Coordinate with the housekeeping and laundry teams to ensure timely return of garments., • Support uniform distribution, labeling, and tracking processes., • Always Uphold Chateau Marmont’s commitment to privacy and discretion. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a seamstress/tailor, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end fashion environment., • Proficiency with industrial sewing machines, sergers, and pressing equipment., • Strong hand-sewing and pattern-making skills., • Ability to work with a variety of fabrics including silks, linens, wool, and synthetics., • Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship., • Discreet, professional, and service-oriented demeanor., • Flexible schedule: ability to work weekends, evenings, or holidays as needed., • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
