Job Description POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for the complete service of food and beverages in our various a la carte outlets, catering to all members and guests needs according to established rules of etiquette. Servers work closely with runners and Server assistants in order to provide members and guests with an enjoyable dining experience. Please note this is a Part Time position (up to 30 hours/week) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Take beverage orders, enter beverage order into the Jonas system and deliver to table in timely manner, • Explain specials and up sell additional items based on pre-shift suggestions discussed, • Take food order, enter into the Jonas system and preset the necessary silverware, • Ensure smooth communication and coordination with Front and Back team members (Runners, Server Assistants, Cooks), • Serve food in timely manner and in accordance with WCC standards, • Assist the host and management with meeting, greeting and seating of guests when needed, • Clear table as necessary and attends to guests throughout the meal, • Close out the check on the Jonas system INCIDENTAL DUTIES: The above list of essential job functions describes the general nature and level of work being performed in this job. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: • Ability to handle an entire station as designated by the dining room captain or Manager, • Ability to anticipate the needs and requests of Members and guests, • Ability to operate all job related equipment to include but not limited to POS (Jonas Point of Touch), coffee machines, espresso machine, • Knowledgeable about all menu items including their ingredients, presentation and methods of preparation, • Ability to present and up sell specials and other menu items, answer questions and make suggestions regarding Food and wine pairing, • Ability to serve and clear food and beverage quietly and professionally, in a timely manner, by using proper serving and clearing techniques, • Excellent organizational skills to maintain stations and side stands stocked with necessary supplies and clean at all times, • Ability to handle complaints in a professional manner, • Ability to work on a team to ensure smooth communication, cooperation and coordination with other team members at the Front and Back of the House to ensure a professional and flawless member experience JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position. This is not a support or training role. This position requires 10+ years of hospitality management experience and proven ability to run events, lead teams, and confidently engage clients during the sales process, including leading venue tours. If you have not personally managed live events, directed service teams, or led client-facing sales conversations, this role will not be the right fit. This position requires consistent on-site presence for evenings and weekends. We are seeking candidates who live within approximately 45 minutes of the venue, ideally within Westchester County or neighboring counties. The Right Candidate You are a decisive, confident leader who: • Commands respect from staff and peers, • Thrives in fast-paced, live-event environments, • Anticipates issues before guests notice them, • Is comfortable and credible in front of clients, • Understands that strong operations and strong sales go hand in hand Core Responsibilities Event & Service Operations • Act as lead on-site manager for weddings, private events, and special functions, • Run events from load-in through breakdown with authority and attention to detail, • Manage timing, guest flow, staffing, and service standards during live events, • Resolve issues calmly and independently in real time, • Maintain exceptional guest experience at all times Staff Leadership & Management • Lead, schedule, and oversee front-of-house and event staff, • Set clear expectations and enforce service and professionalism standards, • Train, coach, and hold staff accountable, • Address performance issues directly and professionally, • Foster a culture of pride, consistency, and teamwork Sales, Client Experience & Business Development • Lead venue tours for prospective clients and serve as a trusted operational expert, • Confidently discuss food, service, staffing, logistics, and event execution during sales conversations, • Actively influence booking decisions through leadership presence and credibility, • Translate client vision into realistic, executable plans that reinforce value, • Collaborate with the sales team on strategy, follow-up, and conversion, • Identify opportunities for enhancements, upgrades, and service improvements that increase revenue, • Maintain continuity between sales, planning, and live event execution Facilities & Operational Oversight • Ensure venue readiness before, during, and after events, • Coordinate with facilities and maintenance staff, • Monitor cleanliness, setup quality, and operational efficiency, • Proactively identify and address operational issues Required Experience (Non-Negotiable) • 10+ years of hospitality management experience, • Proven experience running events or high-volume service operations, • Strong knowledge of food service, banquet operations, and guest flow, • Experience leading teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, • Comfort leading client-facing sales tours and conversations, • Excellent communication, judgment, and leadership presence Schedule & Commitment • Evenings and weekends required based on event schedule & sales tours, • Flexible availability is essential, • This is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk position Compensation & Growth • $75,000 $90,000 annual salary (commensurate with experience), • Significant year-end performance bonus opportunities, • Long-term growth potential within an established hospitality group, • Opportunity to make immediate, visible impact How to Apply We are hiring immediately.
