Position: Director of Finance Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 1-3 days a week) About Curacity Curacity is a demand creation platform that helps travel brands measure revenue from upper-funnel marketing. Position Overview We are seeking an AI-native, hands-on Director of Finance to lead accounting and finance operations, own day-to-day execution, and bring financial rigor to a fast-growing technology company serving the hospitality industry. This role is ideal for a finance professional who can build and own day-to-day accounting and financial strategy functions while supporting operational efficiency in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Accounting & Financial Operations • Perform all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close, • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, • Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital, • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies, • Oversee revenue recognition and expense management processes, • Oversee transition to new accounting system and assist with auditor selection, • Monitor spending and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, • Provide support as needed during strategic planning, pricing model, and contract analysis processes Compliance & Reporting • Ensure compliance with GAAP and all federal, state, and local tax requirements, • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial partners, • Manage insurance, licensing, and regulatory requirements as needed, • Support potential investor, lender, or board reporting requirements Benefits & HR Administration • Administer employee benefits programs, including health and dental insurance, • Manage 401(k) plan administration, • Oversee COBRA administration, • Support employee onboarding and orientation processes as they relate to payroll and benefits Team Leadership • Build, lead and mentor accounting and finance staff as the department grows, • Establish scalable financial processes and systems, • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and customer success teams Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred, • 8–15 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, • Full fluency in QuickBooks Online required, • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls, • Strong working knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Lovable, • Experience with payroll, multi-state operations, and vendor management, • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience required; experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Concur, ADP, or similar platforms a plus, • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments, • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications • Ability to balance operational execution with process improvement over time, • Collaborative working style with strong problem-solving abilities, • Comfortable building processes and improving workflows in a growing organization, • Experience within technology, SaaS, digital marketing, advertising, hospitality, media, or related industries preferred Why Curacity?
