Job Title: Swim Instructor (teacher) and/or Lifeguard Summary: Instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on a thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Lifeguard responsibility and administers first aid when necessary, • Evaluates students’ progress, and completes required paperwork, • Interacts with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills, • Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours Certifications: Not required. However, we offer Lifeguard classes for those candidates looking to guard and wish to obtain/maintain current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes and is followed by the next lesson consecutively for a 4-hour shift., • Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents and caregivers at the end of class, • Lifeguarding and supervising lessons as requested or neededYoull guide new swimmers through their first days at Goldfish and be there to support them as they progress from mini and junior swimmers to gliders and pros!
