Job Description SUMMARY . Without the strength of our Maintenance team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Maintenance Manager. As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Maintenance Manager you will oversee the maintenance department; oversee the preventive maintenance program, daily maintenance, repair of Karman machinery, facilities and moving vehicles. Manage Maintenance personnel in maintaining and ensuring that the Company equipment is in good safe operating condition in the support of Manufacturing and Facilities. Maintenance Manager must also be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality and safety. The Maintenance Manager shall have a strong safety background and be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Medical, Dental, Vision, • Company Paid Life Insurance, • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Paid Holidays, • Tuition Reimbursement* ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts., • Oversee the safety operational procedures and preventive maintenance of equipment, • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment., • Responsible for the Preventive Maintenance program (PM)., • Responsible for training and maintaining safety performance to OSHA and internal safety procedures., • Responsible for maintaining the manufacturing equipment in good safe operating manner., • Responsible for maintaining the tools in good safe operating manner., • Responsible for scheduling the maintenance personnel activities and assuring that the assignment is done correctly and in a timely manner., • Responsible for coordinating repairs requiring outside suppliers., • Responsible for acquiring and maintaining all City, County, State and Federal permits., • Responsible for facilitating OSHA, Fire, State/Federal agencies, Insurance and City inspection audits, • Must understand how customers’ products are impacted in the event of failure., • Must understand the safety impact of facilities, equipment and vehicles which are controlled by OSHA statutory and regulatory regulations of all related agencies., • Any other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • High school graduate or equivalent in work experience., • Adequate years of experience in repairs of tools and manufacturing equipment determined by Karman., • Adequate years of years’ experience monitoring preventive maintenance programs determined but Karman., • Five (5) plus years supervisory experience is required., • Must have working knowledge of CNC machines and able to do repairs as required., • Strong background in machine maintenance., • Strong background in manufacturing safety., • Strong background in utilization of Maintenance X or equivalent software., • MS Office KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, possess good communication skills and be able to interact with Suppliers, Management and staff., • Must have working knowledge of manufacturing equipment repairs., • Must have working knowledge of electrical applications., • Must have working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs., • Must have working knowledge of plant layout and installation of equipment and machinery., • Must have working knowledge of hazardous waste, safety applications and training to safety standards., • Must have direct communication with internal customers., • Must be trained in applicable changes & customer requirements., • Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions., • Must be familiar with applicable statutory and regulatory regulations in building, grounds and machinery record maintenance. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours., • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs., • Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment., • Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less. Corrective lenses may be worn to fulfill requirements., • Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required., • Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s)., • Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level.
