Job DescriptionDescription: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Director to lead our HR function with a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands-on execution. This role will shape and drive our talent strategy while overseeing the day-to-day Human Resources operations in collaboration with the broader HR team. The ideal candidate brings a ‘builder’s mindset’, combining big-picture thinking with a roll-up-your sleeves approach to execution. Primary Responsibilities: • Build and lead the HR team – define the structure and key roles within the HR function; mentor and develop team members to support professional growth, strengthen capabilities, and ensure operational excellence, • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy and align the Human Resources function to support these objectives – develop and manage a comprehensive HR roadmap to support the execution of the Company’s strategic vision, • Architect and implement a scalable talent management system, including title structures, job leveling, succession planning, performance reviews, and training programs, • Design and oversee the recruiting and hiring process, partnering with local offices and hiring managers; support job profiling, pipeline building, and onboarding; provide structured inputs —such as employee reviews, job responsibilities, and organizational context —to support semi-annual Compensation Committee meetings focused on promotion, hiring, and compensation, • Champion a strong, high-performing company culture, leveraging employee surveys and action planning, with success measured and tracked through an Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS), • Champion data quality and usage across systems like Paylocity, BOX, and others; develop KPIs and dashboards to track HR performance and workforce health, • Develop and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports summarizing HR activities, performance against KPIs, progress on key initiatives, and any critical issues or risks requiring executive attention, • Oversee the administration of human resources programs including, but not limited to: benefits, compensation, and leave; disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development, • Serve as the senior escalation point for sensitive or complex employee issues, investigations and performance matters, • Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; plan, lead, develop, modify, coordinate and implement policies, processes, practices and trainings to ensure compliance, • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and talent management, and employment law, • Manage third-party HR vendors and partners to ensure service quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals; hold vendors accountable for delivering expected results and performance standards, • Build and mentor a high-performing Human Resources team and function, • Ensure all employee documents are properly stored and categorized, and all employee data in the HRIS is complete, accurate, and aligned to support the HR function and Company, • Review and refine, as needed, employee document templates (i.e. offer letters, Employment Agreements, etc.); identify and address any gaps, inconsistencies, or risks, • Establish reliable HR data reporting systems and KPIs for reporting, • Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive talent management platform, • Develop and implement recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes and procedures to support the Company’s organic and acquisition growth strategies, • Implement and rollout BBG’s PTO tracking policy, • Ensure compliance with all employment regulations and complete remediation plans, as needed Unique Attributes: • PE-backed company, • Fast-paced, small-team setting, • Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, • Highly visible and critical role, • Key contributor to strategic initiatives, • Competitive compensation and benefits, • Good company culture and casual work environmentRequirements: Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, • SHRM-S or SPHR Certified Professional, • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HRIS software, • Excellent communication, written and verbal, and analytical skills, • Exceptional interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and desire to learn, • Proven supervisory and leadership skills, • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees, • Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally, • Proactive and strategic mind-set, • Results driven; demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, • Master’s Degree, • Experience with Paylocity HCM, • Prior experience working in a PE-backed environment and/or professional services firm, ideally in a growing, multi-site organization with +500 employees, • Acquisition and integration experience
