This role will train to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route. Job DescriptionDescription: As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you get to enhance the quality of life for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities by assisting, instructing, and supporting individuals living in our residences to be as independent as possible. Promote the health, safety and well-being of the individuals while building positive, meaningful relationships. Advocate for individuals in our residences to communicate their wants/needs and integrate them into the community for recreation. Perform various tasks to promote a well-rounded environment by doing light housekeeping, helping individuals plan nutritious meals, and administering medications as needed. Participate in regularly scheduled trainings to enhance skills and knowledge to continue to support the individuals in the best way possible. Job Description Self-Direction DSP -Cicero Area (#job HT-AB) Exceptional Family Resources is seeking an upbeat Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an active man with a developmental disability. In this role, you will help him learn key independent living skills, experience social and physical fitness opportunities in the community. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, strong organizational skills and enjoy spending time in nature. (walks, movies, fishing and going to local Zoos) Related experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required. Please respond with a resume or summary of experience.
