Job Description Job Title: Automotive Integration Technician / End of Line Technician Job Description This role combines hands-on automotive assembly, integration, and end-of-line validation for high-performance vehicles. The technician inspects, assembles, and tests vehicles from bumper to bumper, performs shakedown drives and pre-delivery inspections, and works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure every vehicle meets exacting quality and performance standards. The position is ideal for an experienced automotive professional with strong diagnostic skills, deep mechanical knowledge, and a passion for European or performance vehicles. Responsibilities • Perform complete bumper-to-bumper work on vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic components., • Assemble and install key components such as suspension systems, brakes, three-piece wheels, door panels, and related hardware., • Mount and balance tires with precision, ensuring correct fitment, alignment, and performance., • Carry out complex assembly and integration tasks, including work on electrical systems, engine-related components, and other advanced vehicle systems., • Conduct detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to identify root causes of issues., • Perform shakedown drives to evaluate vehicle performance, identify noises or irregularities, and verify proper operation under real-world conditions., • Complete thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure vehicles meet all quality, safety, and performance criteria before release., • Document findings, repairs, and adjustments accurately and clearly to support traceability and continuous improvement., • Collaborate with leadership, quality, engineering, and other internal teams to resolve complex issues and refine processes., • Follow established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards to maintain consistency and reliability in all work performed., • Use appropriate tools, diagnostic equipment, and test procedures to validate vehicle systems and confirm repairs., • ASE certification or equivalent is highly preferred for Automotive Integration Technicians and required for End of Line Technicians., • Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive experience is required; 8 or more years of experience is preferred., • Proven ability to work on an entire vehicle from bumper to bumper, including mechanical, electrical, and trim components., • Hands-on experience in both dealership and small shop environments, demonstrating versatility in processes and repair approaches., • Strong experience in installing and assembling suspension systems, brakes, three-piece wheels, and door panels., • Proficiency in mounting and balancing tires with a focus on performance and safety., • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and engine systems., • Experience performing shakedown drives and pre-delivery inspections to validate vehicle quality and performance., • Porsche or broader European vehicle experience is highly preferred for end-of-line responsibilities., • Ability to partner effectively with leadership, quality, and engineering teams to address complex technical issues., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship., • ASE certification or equivalent advanced automotive credential is highly valued and may support growth into more complex end-of-line work., • Extensive experience in performance, European, or specialty vehicles is a strong plus., • Experience in both dealership service operations and independent or custom shop environments., • Comfort working on advanced electrical systems and engine-related components as vehicles become more complex., • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently on complex issues while knowing when to collaborate with others., • Clear, professional communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and documenting work. The role is based in a professional automotive facility focused on high-quality assembly, integration, and testing of vehicles. Technicians work in a shop environment that uses standard and specialized automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifting equipment to perform bumper-to-bumper work. The position involves hands-on work around vehicles, including time spent in the shop and on controlled shakedown drives for evaluation and testing. The workday typically follows standard automotive shop hours, with potential for occasional schedule flexibility depending on production and testing needs. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, with technicians expected to follow all shop safety practices and maintain a professional appearance appropriate for a technical automotive setting.
