Job Description PARALEGAL Location; El Segundo, CA KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist counsel with a broad scope of employment law matters including, but not limited to, immigration, recruitment and hiring, compensation and benefits, wage and hour, leaves of absence, accommodations, discrimination and harassment, performance management and discipline, termination of employment, workplace safety, and government audits., • Track immigration petitions and applications filed with government agencies, such as USCIS, monitor case progress, and ensure timely submission of additional documents., • Assist with corporate books and maintenance, • Provide litigation support, including service of process, managing legal case files, coordinating tasks between internal and external partners, gathering evidence, and conducting in-house review of documents, • Lead in drafting objections and responses to subpoenas and requests for employment records, • Draft document preservation notices and communications, and manage Employment Laws document preservation system, • Assist counsel with long-term and short-term internal projects involving, among other things, reviewing, drafting, updating, and maintaining contract playbook, handbook, policies, procedures, handbooks, and agreements, • Conduct basic legal research on a variety of issues, • Support outside counsel engagement, including review of legal invoices, and assisting with budget development, and other legal operations projects, • Other duties and projects, as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years of relevant experience as a paralegal or equivalent at an in-house legal department or top law firm., • Experience with electronic discovery efforts in litigations or investigations., • Experience with project management and/or change management., • Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration law and procedures, particularly employment-based petitions., • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment., • Strong administrative and drafting skills ., • Ability to maintain confidentiality ., • Superior common sense, judgment, pragmatism, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism ., • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills ., • Strong written and verbal communication skills ., • Ability to inspire trust and confidence in clients ., • Ability to work with outside counsel and interact with all levels of the business ., • High level of familiarity with standard office software, Teams, Outlook, Word and the ability to learn new job-related systems and software .
