Job Description We are looking for a seamstress/sewer for a mattress company located in Compton. Pay $18.67 1st shift Monday-Friday Direct hire after 60 days (union company) Must be able to pass E-Verify, Drug test & background Must have the qualified experience to be considered for this position. Key Responsibilities • Sew, assemble, and finish garments or textile products following patterns or instructions., • Perform alterations, repairs, hemming, and adjustments as needed., • Operate sewing machines, sergers, and other sewing equipment safely and efficiently., • Measure, mark, and cut fabric with accuracy., • Inspect completed pieces to ensure quality standards are met., • Maintain a clean and organized workspace., • Follow production timelines and meet daily/weekly quotas as assigned., • Communicate with supervisors or designers regarding project requirements or issues., • Perform hand stitching or detailed finishing work as needed., • Select appropriate materials, threads, needles, and techniques for each project. Qualifications • Proven experience as a seamstress, tailor, stitcher, or similar sewing role., • Ability to read patterns, instructions, and specifications., • Skilled in operating various sewing machines (single needle, overlock, cover stitch, etc.)., • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship., • Ability to lift, move, or handle materials as needed., • Good time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines., • Basic knowledge of textiles, fabric characteristics, and garment construction.
