About the Company: Blazer Jobs is actively hiring for a full-time, school-based SLP to join a dynamic New Orleans area school district for the 2025–2026 academic year. About the Role: This is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) position starting this upcoming school year. You’ll work on-site in a well-supported school district, delivering services to a diverse PreK–12 caseload. Your role will include direct therapy, evaluations, IEP development, progress monitoring, and active collaboration with teachers, families, and other professionals. Whether you're an experienced SLP or a Clinical Fellow (CFY) seeking mentorship and growth, you'll be stepping into a role where your work truly matters every day. Responsibilities: • Provide direct therapy services to students with a range of communication needs, using evidence-based practices aligned with their IEP goals., • Conduct speech and language evaluations, contributing to comprehensive assessments and eligibility decisions., • Develop and implement IEPs, ensuring they reflect each student’s strengths, needs, and goals for communication growth., • Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed and reporting data to IEP teams and families., • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create inclusive, supportive environments and promote carryover of skills across settings., • Consult on AAC, classroom strategies, and accommodations to help students access learning and participate fully in school life.
