Job DescriptionDescription: Hybrid Every other week onsite/5 days in Smithfield, RI We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a fast‑paced digital platforms team within the financial services industry to build and enhance digital application experiences within a Scrum team. The role focuses on architecting, developing, testing, and delivering scalable web applications using Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Angular. You will lead solution design, mentor teammates, and collaborate across teams to deliver secure, maintainable, and accessible platforms that support customer-facing products. This role is approximately 60% backend and 40% frontend, with a strong emphasis on building and supporting scalable, high‑volume, client‑facing applications. You will be a key contributor on an Agile/Scrum team responsible for modernizing a large web platform used by other third party enterprise clients to manage products and services. This role blends new development with ongoing support of legacy applications, making it ideal for an engineer who enjoys both innovation and system evolution. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities: • Lead development of innovative solutions that provide a seamless customer experience., • Support and collaborate with an agile team to deliver best-in-class web applications., • Coordinate with cross-functional collaborators to ensure successful implementation of technical solutions., • Design, develop, and support RESTful APIs using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot, • Build and maintain single‑page applications using Angular 14+ and JavaScript, • Develop and integrate services using Apache Camel and enterprise orchestration frameworks, • Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment, • Contribute to technical design decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and long‑term solutions, • Support and enhance existing legacy applications while helping develop new functionality, • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, • Mentor and guide junior engineers, contributing to team best practices and code quality, • Architect, build, test, and deliver scalable features across server-side and client-side systems., • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, • Strong backend development experience with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot, • Hands‑on experience building REST APIs, • Solid frontend experience with Angular (14+) and modern JavaScript, • Experience working with Apache Camel, • Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams, • Ability to decompose complex business problems into efficient technical solutions Nice to have skills: • 6+ years of comprehensive software engineering experience; financial services or other high‑transaction, client‑facing platforms experience is a plus (preferred)., • Experience with DevOps concepts for SCM, continuous integration, monitoring, Docker and AWS (certifications a plus) and deployment processes (preferred)., • Experience with client-side unit testing frameworks and test runners such as Jasmine and Karma (preferred)., • Experience with Docker containerization, CI/CD pipelines and deployment troubleshooting, and AWS deployment and management via the AWS console (preferred)., • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred for Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, • Equivalent professional experience will be considered W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
