Job Description 2nd shift Quality Inspector Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector for the night shift, responsible for quality assurance in a specialized production environment. This role involves utilizing micrometers, calipers, gauges, reading comparators, and interpreting complex blueprints. The company manufactures extremely small parts, requiring the consistent use of a microscope with 5x optical zoom. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with a wide variety of parts in different shapes and sizes. Responsibilities • Utilize micrometers, calipers, gauges, and reading comparators effectively., • Interpret and work from complicated blueprints and specifications., • Consistently use microscopes with 5x optical zoom for detailed inspections., • Perform quality assurance on a wide variety of parts, supporting over 20 clients., • Demonstrate proficiency in math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in both English and Metric systems., • Apply extensive knowledge of standard measuring and testing devices., • Adapt to changing requirements and demonstrate the ability to learn new techniques., • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience., • Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, radius gauges, optical comparators, and depth micrometers., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including dimensions and tolerances., • Technical schooling preferred., • Certified inspector certification preferred. Work Environment Work in a climate-controlled medical device shop that is extremely clean and adheres to FDA protocols. The spacious production floor ensures that individuals have ample space, minimizing close proximity work. This low-volume, high-variety environment demands precision and adaptability, supporting a diverse range of over 20 clients. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MEMPHIS, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
