Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 10/27/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Emergency Department Location: San Pedro, CA Unit Type: ER Shift: 12-hour (12:00–00:30 / 15:00–03:30) Census: ~120 visits/day | 16 beds Patient Ratio: 1:4 (Day/Night/Weekend) Scrubs: Provided (any color) Unit Overview • Mixed adult and pediatric emergency department, • High-acuity patient population, • Level II Trauma, STEMI and Stroke certified, • Epic documentation system, • Weekend coverage required (12 weekend shifts per contract), • Float and call required, • Support services: Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, RRT, Social Services, TransportRequired, • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI/MAB, NIHSS, TNCC, NRP (as applicable), • Experience: Minimum 2 years ER experience (1:4 ratio), • Skills:, • Triage, isolation precautions, • Cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia interpretation, • Starting/maintaining IVs, central line care, blood products, • Emergency meds, procedural sedation, vasopressors, • Respiratory interventions (ABG interpretation, intubation, CPAP/BiPAP, chest tubes, ventilated patients), • Neuro/trauma care (CVA, TBI, spinal injuries), • Ortho splinting, peds emergencies, psych holds, overdose, violent behavior managementPreferred, • Previous charge experience, • Teaching or community hospital background, • Trauma Level I or II experienceOrientation, • Unit accepts first-time travelers, • Scheduling: Block/Self scheduling as per dept needs Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
