Job Description Job Title: Purchasing Specialist Location: Miami, Florida Division/Department: Procurement & Manufacturing Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $58,000 – $64,000 per year (depending on experience) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Join Our Team as a Purchasing Specialist! We’re looking for a Purchasing Specialist to help drive our procurement and internal manufacturing processes at our industrial manufacturing facility in the Miami area. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both the strategic side of purchasing and the hands-on coordination of internal production. You’ll work closely with vendors, engineers, and shop leads to ensure materials and components are sourced, tracked, and delivered efficiently — while also managing what we manufacture in-house on our Laser, Press Brake, CNC Mill/Lathe/Router, and Welding equipment. Key Responsibilities Procurement & Vendor Management • Source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies for production., • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; negotiate pricing, lead times, and contracts., • Evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency., • Coordinate with shop leads across Laser, Press Brake, CNC, Router, and Welding departments to manage internal production schedules and priorities., • “Project manage” internal builds — ensuring items we don’t buy externally are efficiently produced in-house., • Monitor inventory levels and manage re-order points to maintain optimal stock., • Collaborate with warehouse and production teams for accurate material tracking and flow., • Maintain and manage purchasing and inventory data within SAP and/or QuickBooks., • Support or lead data migration and integration projects from QuickBooks to SAP (migration experience a big plus)., • Partner with accounting for invoice reconciliation and payment approvals., • Communicate proactively with internal teams about material availability, lead times, and production priorities., • Support internal audits and process documentation. Qualifications • Experience: 3+ years in purchasing or supply chain, preferably in industrial manufacturing or fabrication environments., • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)., • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with industrial manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, etc.)., • Software:, • Experience with SAP and QuickBooks required., • Data migration or system integration experience strongly preferred., • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel., • Skills:, • Excellent negotiation and communication skills., • Organized, analytical, and detail oriented., • Primarily office-based at our Miami manufacturing facility., • Regular collaboration with shop floor teams, warehouse staff, and vendors., • Occasional local travel for supplier meetings or training.
