Because of this, our nurses develop a strong set of skills and knowledge that they can use to grow their career throughout the acute care environment. We are piloting a virtual nursing program on this unit, stationing one nurse in a virtual nursing hub during the hours of 0700-1900, while leaving six nurses physically on the unit to provide direct care to patients.
