Job DescriptionDiesel Mechanic Now Hiring: Diesel Mechanic Join a large, reputable company in a brand-new facility where you'll work on a modern fleet of diesel trucks and trailers while receiving paid training, certifications, and excellent tools and equipment to help you succeed. Available Shifts: • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Available Schedules: • Sunday - Thursday, • Tuesday - Saturday All new hires will train on 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). Job Responsibilities • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel trucks ranging from 28' to 56' in length, • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on Freightliner trucks with Cummins engines, • Repair and service engines, brakes, transmissions, suspension systems, and other mechanical components, • Complete DOT inspections and accurately document findings, • Repair and maintain trailers, including:, • Brake systems, • Wiring and lighting, • Tire replacement, • Hydraulic systems, • Utilize diagnostic software, scanners, and computerized maintenance systems, • Receive and complete work orders through iPads and electronic work order systems, • Perform repairs on Toyota forklifts and Crown pallet jacks as needed, • Replace components such as water pumps and A/C systems, • Perform occasional welding and torch workRequired Qualifications, • Minimum 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, • Experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel trucks and trailers, • Brake repair experience, • Brake certifications or ability to obtain certifications, • Hydraulic repair and maintenance experience, • Trailer maintenance experience, • Experience performing preventative maintenance and diagnostics, • Comfortable using computers, diagnostic software, and scan tools, • Ability to perform DOT inspectionsPreferred Qualifications, • Experience with Freightliner trucks and Cummins engines, • Forklift or material handling equipment maintenance experience, • Welding and torch experienceWhy Join Us?, • Brand-new facility, • Clean and organized shop environment, • Fully covered work area with fans, • Company-provided uniforms (2 weeks provided), • Weekly uniform laundering service, • On-site gym, • On-site clinic, • On-site changing rooms, • Annual steel-toe boot stipend after 90 days, • $750 annual tool allowance, • Paid in-house training, • Company-sponsored certifications and career development opportunitiesWork Environment This is a clean, organized maintenance facility that is fully covered and equipped with fans. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
