Join our healthcare team and explore one of the top Indiana nursing jobs in a city known for its arts, dining, and welcoming atmosphere.\n \n\nPCU Registered Nurse Job Details\n\n • Location: Indianapolis, IN 46202\n, • Unit: A5E – Advanced Heart Care Unit (PCU)\n, • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)\n, • Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts per week (07:00 – 19:30)\n, • Hours per Week: 36\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1660 – $1700\n, • Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:4\n, • Weekend Requirement: Must be able to work 50% of weekends during contract (based on unit needs)\n, • Orientation: 36 hours\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or out-of-state; Indiana residents not eligible for this travel RN job)\n, • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Stepdown RN experience\n, • Trauma Level I hospital experience required\n, • Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program\n, • Ability to float to Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU units as needed (within hospital or affiliate hospitals)\n, • Willingness to precept and/or be shadowed by nursing students\n, • Two supervisor references required\n, • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n, • First-time travel nurses welcome\n\n\nPCU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adults with complex cardiovascular conditions including CHF, MI, pulmonary hypertension, arrhythmias, COPD, congenital heart defects, and infective endocarditis\n, • Monitor and manage patients post-cath lab, pre/post cardiac surgery, and those awaiting advanced cardiac interventions\n, • Initiate and titrate cardiac drips, perform sheath removal, and manage surgical drains\n, • Start and maintain IVs, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and provide conscious sedation as needed\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response\n, • Float to other hospital units or affiliate hospitals as required\n, • Participate in charge nurse duties and precepting responsibilities\n We believe in empowering your career.
