Job Description Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana is the state’s largest hunger relief organization and one of the leading food banks in the Feeding America Network. In additional to vital hunger relief programs in our 21-county service area, we also operate Fresh Connect Central, a regional produce cooperative for Feeding America, serve as a contract reclamation site for Kroger Central Division, and are a staging site for FEMA disaster response. Position Purpose of Gleaners2Go Production Supervisor: The Gleaners2Go Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, overseeing, and improving all processes involved in the receipt, production, and distribution of Gleaners2Go orders (individual, custom grocery orders) to program partners in a manner that ensures that we meet all operational and customer service objectives while ensuring compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and compliance policies. All responsibilities and duties will further Gleaners’ mission to be a leader in the fight against hunger. • 14 paid holidays 3 Paid Sick Leave Days, Federal Holidays, 2 Volunteer Days & Birthday, • Learning & Development Opportunities, • Company paid vision, long-term disability, $50,000 life AD&D, • Paid Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance, • Maternal, parental & caregiver leave, • On-site Gym, • Wellness programs, • 403(b) Plan with up to 4% match, • Monthly attendance bonus, • Earn up to 10% incentive pay, • Apparel allowance Essential Functions of Gleaners2Go Production Supervisor: • Supervise all activities relating to order fulfillment for the program and assembly areas, • Lead and monitor the accuracy of production and assembly activities for Gleaners2Go including product setup and teardown, order building, and supervising staff/volunteers to properly and accurately complete daily tasks., • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver product in a timely fashion, • Ensure the correct processes are followed for fulfillment and distribution., • Work proactively with other departments as needed., • Oversee volunteer order fulfillment and volunteer experience, • Provide insight and assistance for developing and testing new features on eCommerce site., • Develop and maintain written Standard Operating Procedures as needed., • With Manage of Field Operations, establish metrics, baselines, targets, and goals to measure all processes and monitor the performance of these metrics to identify opportunities to drive process improvements., • Ensure food supply available matches content on website as available; adjust product as needed; update eCommerce software as needed, • Conduct daily and weekly inventory counts with your team, • Work with Volunteer team to plan for volunteer needs and create volunteer training to support, • Order fulfillment, • Provide an exceptional volunteer experience, • Work safely and operate PIT equipment according to Gleaners and OSHA guidelines, • Ensure compliance and adherence to all food safety guidelines according to GFB, Feeding America, AIB, USDA, ISDH and any other applicable processes or regulations for safe and sanitary production and storage of all products, • Promote and ensure a safe work environment., • Supervise, hire, train, motivate, coach, manage performance, discipline, and evaluate direct reports., • High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience, • 1-2 years of administrative/customer service experience, • Prior experience in Supply Chain or Logistics is desired, • Ability to train and lead a group of individuals., • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communications skills., • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, • Ability to perform basic math functions, to count accurately and maintain accurate records, • Distinguish between case and pallet counts versus pallet weights as required, understand pallet numbers, inventory lots, and warehouse locations, • eCommerce/POS platform upkeep, including process and developmental input, • Ability to use manual and electronic warehouse documentation tools including barcode hardware and ERP (Warehouse/Inventory Management System), • Ability to create, analyze and present reports, • Forklift certification (or ability to be certified), • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively, • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment with multifaceted demands, • A commitment to full and visible participation as a hunger relief leader in the community Gleaners Food Bank is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and provides equal opportunities for employment and advancement for all individuals, without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, pregnancy, leave status, genetic information, veteran status, creed, citizenship status, income derived from a public assistance program, political beliefs, reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity, or any other status or category protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
