Job Description Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or other Manager, the HVAC Mechanic “A” will lead the daily operation of the HVAC/R shop at the College. This position will be responsible for the ongoing temperature control and comfort of the heating and cooling systems at the College to support academic, lab, administrative, and specialized HVAC/R systems. POSITION SUMMARY Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Installs, operates, maintains, and repairs complex HVAC/R systems including water and oil pumps, water analysis and chemical treatment systems, air compressors, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical controls, refrigeration, heating, cooling and ventilating equipment, filters, condensers, cooling towers, evaporators, and heat exchangers., • Responds to HVAC system complaints, performs troubleshooting of systems and provides feedback to Supervisors and Managers on progress., • Plans and performs preventative maintenance tasks for College HVAC/R systems to optimize system performance and energy efficiency., • Installs electric power, piping, controls and duct work to replace, maintain or to install new equipment., • Maintains logs, checklists, and prepares written reports to Supervisor, as appropriate., • Enters information into the College’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document all work, parts used, system conditions, hours worked, and leverages system data., • Ensures compliance with all safety standards, buildings codes, and environmental regulations., • Leverages Building Automation and Building Management Systems (BAS/BMS) to prioritize, document, and improve system performance and facility comfort., • Monitor and oversee College and contractor staff, as needed., • Attends training sessions and meetings to stay current on all trade, College, and regulatory requirements, • Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of department spaces., • Prepares list of materials required to maintain inventory and complete projects., • Must respond to emergencies and maintenance tasks, as required, which may include working off-hours or holidays., • Reports to the College during closures and assists with snow and ice clearing operations, as needed., • Performs any other duties or task as may be assigned. SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Vocational School education or an appropriate apprenticeship preferred. Completion of a Journeyman level training program in HVAC/R or associate’s degree in HVAC/R Experience: • Minimum of Six years’ experience maintaining and repairing sophisticated commercial and industrial air conditioning systems including electric/pneumatic controls, fume hoods, high capacity centrifugal refrigeration equipment and roof top units., • Must be EPA Certified Universal Technician in accordance with Section 608 to handle CFCs, HCFCs, and HFCs, • Must have NJ Blue Seal Refrigeration, • Additional state or local licenses and certifications is a plus, • Experience working in an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful team setting. • Job Type: Officer of Administration, • Regular/Temporary: Regular, • Hours Per Week: 35, • Building: Lerner Hall Under the leadership of the Director of Sexual Violence Response Direct Services, the Survivor Advocate will provide confidential and comprehensive survivor-focused services, resources and trauma-informed care to survivors of gender and power-based violence. This will include direct crisis intervention, crisis counseling, advocacy and support services; including explaining and exploring survivor's rights and options, in accordance with federal, state and local laws and regulations (civil and criminal), and campus policies. The incumbent will serve as a general resource, advocate and referral agent for students seeking sexual assault, intimate partner violence and stalking information and services. Additionally, the Survivor Advocate will provide round-the-clock, on-call crisis support year-round in a shared rotation amongst the direct services team and coordinate campus and community resources to support students who have experienced sexual assault, intimate partner violence and related abuse. The Survivor Advocate will collaborate with other departmental colleagues, on and off campus to support the success of SVR activities including community education, outreach efforts and special events. Responsibilities Advocacy, support and case management: 80% • Provide effective and practical crisis intervention, immediate aid, options, referrals, and information, psychoeducation, and advocacy and support services to primary and secondary survivors of gender and power-based violence., • Provide emergency assistance in the immediate aftermath of violence, abuse or traumatic experience; which includes but not limited to short-term support and related follow up services to alleviate safety and trauma associated with the survivor's experience., • Accompany survivors as needed to hospitals, court, police precincts, hearings/adjudications on campus, etc., to provide support., • Maintain confidentiality under New York Public Health Law, and maintain a confidential database (CRISIS/Confidential Response Intervention and Support Information System) and accurate records of services and referrals to ensure comprehensive quality care for survivors., • Manage accurate statistical data, which reflect various aspects of victim/survivor service provision and compliance. Must adhere to strict confidentiality when working with survivors, • Share responsibility for rotating 24-hour on-call shifts for the purpose of providing crisis intervention, options, advocacy, medical and legal information, accompaniment, and immediate safety to students who identify as survivors of trauma, violence or abuse. In partnership with the Direct Services staff, maintain on-call calendar., • As part of the 24-hour on-call rotation, the Survivor Advocate is required to report to campus, hospital emergency departments, law enforcement agencies, court houses, etc. on short notice for extended periods of time in response to emergency and critical incidents related to students' experiences of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, and abuse., • Responsible for on-going individual case management, assessment to identify both immediate and long-term needs, rights, options and appropriate referrals for survivors., • Provide criminal/civil justice advocacy and support services including orientation and accompaniment for the making of police reports, forensic medical exams, interviews, court filings and hearings (including injunctions/orders of protection), and all facets of the trial process (including depositions, trial, victim impact statements, sentencing, release procedures). Additionally, will provide education to survivors on their rights and responsibilities and linkage to Victims Compensation, VINE (Victims Information Notification Everyday), Office of Victim Services (OVS), etc., • Coordinate cases, serving as a liaison between the survivor, law enforcement, public safety, Title IX staff, social services, community-based organizations, professors, other campus departments and officials, employers, landlords, and other agencies., • Provide consultation as needed to faculty, staff and administration regarding individual students, policies and procedures. The Manager of Peer Recovery Support Services also functions as the Patient Navigator / Trainer within the OORP program. Job Duties 1. Embodies Eva’s Village’s core values, voice, and tone to provide an exceptional and effective experience for our clients, funders, employees, and volunteers., 2. Oversee, supervise, and monitor the daily operations of the RCC and OORP program, services, and staff., 3. Collaborates with the Senior and Associate Peer Services Coordinators to develop and coordinate activities and services within the Recovery Community Center, ensuring alignment with related programs, departments, and staff to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and standards., 4. Shall attend any training and/or meetings in person or via conference call that are scheduled by DMHAS to support the delivery, sustainability, and effectiveness of OORP services., 5. Maintains effective intra-office and inter-office communication within departments., 6. Shall ensure cooperation and collaboration with the DMHAS statewide evaluator for the OORP, which may include focus group participation; key informant interviews; and individual data reporting (i.e., select social indicators; substance use, overdose and mental health history; patient outreach; services provided, and recovery and treatment follow-up)., 7. Shall submit a Narrative Contract Progress Report to the Senior Director of Integrated Services and/or Clinical Administrator for review before submission to the DMHAS Project Director within 5 working days of the end of each quarter., 10. Providing world-class entertainment in an intimate environment on the site of lively Worldwide Plaza, it is made up of five theatres, a public lounge, and events spaces dedicated to audience and artist services. JOB TITLE: Part-time Cleaners and Porters PAY RATE: $20.00 per hour WORK SCHEDULE: Cleaner Hours May Include: Sundays - Fridays 9am-2pm, Saturdays 8am-2pm Porter Hours May Include: Fridays-Saturdays 5pm-11pm ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to: *Clean and Sanitize restrooms, including all sinks, fixtures, and toilets. *Empty all trash cans and replace liner, clean receptacles as required. *Wipe, dust, polish, or clean surfaces including windows, mirrors, glass, seats, handrails, walls, counters, etc. *Vacuum, sweep and mop floors and stairs. *Clean seats and carpet with extractor when required. *Restock supplies in bathrooms, breakrooms, and common areas. *Maintain equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition. *Communicate with management regarding supply needs. *Abide by all compactor safety rules and maintain compactor/dumpster area cleanliness. *Follow all building procedures to ensure a safe work environment and ensure the safety of theatre guests. *Safely use all chemicals in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets, including utilizing provided chemical mixing stations. *Other routine upkeep duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: *Six months or more related experience. *Good communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish a plus. *Good client/customer service skills. *Ability to follow oral and written communications. *Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. *Ability to work effectively with a team and also independently. *Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willingness to learn. *Must be reliable and report to work as scheduled.
