    IT Support Technician – Level 1 United Network Associates, Inc. (UNA) is seeking a motivated Level 1 IT Support Technician to join our technical team in Farmingdale, New York. UNA provides managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, and technical support services to businesses throughout Long Island and the New York metropolitan area. The Position This is a hands-on technical position for someone who enjoys technology, troubleshooting, working with users, and learning new systems. The Level 1 Technician will be part of our Help Desk and technical support team, providing remote and on-site assistance to our clients while working alongside experienced Level 2 and senior engineers. Responsibilities • Respond to incoming Help Desk tickets and technical support requests, • Troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops, • Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and user accounts, • Perform password resets, MFA setup, and basic account administration, • Troubleshoot printers, scanners, peripherals, and common business applications, • Diagnose basic Internet, Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, DNS, and connectivity problems, • Install and configure computers, software, and peripherals, • Set up new users, computers, email accounts, and Microsoft 365 services, • Perform basic Active Directory and Entra ID administration, • Assist with endpoint security, antivirus, EDR/MDR, patching, and RMM systems, • Provide remote support and occasional on-site client support, • Document problems, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, • Escalate more complex problems to Level 2 or senior engineers, • Follow established security and technical procedures What We're Looking For We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in technology who wants to build a career in IT. You don't need to know everything. You do need to be curious, dependable, professional, and willing to learn. Basic knowledge or experience with several of the following is preferred: Windows 10/11 • Microsoft 365 • Outlook • Active Directory • Entra ID • TCP/IP • DNS • DHCP • Wi-Fi • VPN • Networking • PC Hardware • Printers • Remote Support • Endpoint Security The Right Candidate • Enjoys troubleshooting technical problems, • Thinks logically rather than simply following a script, • Is comfortable researching something they don't know, • Communicates clearly and professionally with clients, • Has good organizational and documentation skills, • Understands when an issue should be escalated, • Takes responsibility for following a problem through to resolution, • Has a genuine interest in computers, networking, cloud technology, and cybersecurity, • Wants to learn from more experienced engineers and advance technically Experience Approximately 1–2 years of IT support experience is preferred, although candidates with strong technical skills, education, certifications, internships, or substantial hands-on experience will also be considered. CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, or cybersecurity certifications are a plus but are not required.     We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PLC Programmer to design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain programmable logic controller (PLC) systems used in industrial automation and manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have strong technical and problem-solving skills and experience working with automated machinery and control systems. Responsibilities: Develop, program, and modify PLC control systems for machinery and automated equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose PLC, electrical, and automation system issues. Install, configure, test, and commission PLC-based control systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings. Integrate PLCs with HMIs, sensors, motors, drives, and other automation equipment. Perform system testing and make necessary programming adjustments. Conduct preventive maintenance and support equipment upgrades. Identify and resolve equipment downtime and control-system problems. Document PLC programs, system configurations, modifications, and troubleshooting procedures. Work closely with electricians, engineers, maintenance teams, and other technical staff. Follow company safety procedures and industry standards. Provide technical support and training to operators or maintenance personnel as needed. Qualifications: Previous experience as a PLC Programmer, Controls Technician, Automation Technician, or similar role. Strong knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation. Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Omron is a plus. Knowledge of HMI systems, VFDs, sensors, motors, and industrial control systems. Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good attention to detail and ability to work independently. Engineering or technical degree/certification is preferred but not always required. Willingness to work flexible hours or respond to equipment issues when necessary.
