JOB STATEMENT: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence within a designated geographic region across the United States. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies that align with company objectives to maximize revenue and market share. The manager will lead and support a team of sales representatives and distributor partners to achieve sales targets and enhance customer relationships. A key outcome of this position is to effectively manage sales territories, optimize sales volume, and secure national accounts to ensure sustained business success. The Regional Sales Manager will also analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adapt sales plans accordingly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve regional sales targets and expand customer base., • Manage and support distributor sales channels to optimize product availability and market penetration., • Oversee sales territory management, ensuring balanced coverage and efficient resource allocation., • Build and maintain strong relationships with national accounts and key customers to drive long-term partnerships., • Monitor sales volume and performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management., • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales initiatives with promotional campaigns and product launches., • Coach, mentor, and lead the regional sales team to enhance their skills and performance., • Identify emerging market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies proactively., • Review monthly performance and program status with District/State Managers, • Monitor key activities in assigned region and facilitate internal and external communications, • Evaluate business execution in the region and identify opportunities, • ‘Days in the Trade’ expectation is 2-3 days per week, • Develop and maintain 90 days forecast for region, • Review budget tracker with Zone Manager, • Maintain region Scorecard, • Conduct monthly performance updates with distributor senior leadership, • Conduct one-to-one meetings with supervisor and State/District Sales Managers, • Lead Quarterly Region Meetings with State Managers, District Managers, Key Account Managers and Chain Managers, • Conduct Quarterly Business Review meetings with distributors at the Region level, • Complete formal state level surveys with key distributors and document appropriate next steps, • Utilize technology provided to conduct business in an efficient manner MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regional or territory sales management., • Proven track record of managing distributor sales and achieving sales volume targets., • Strong knowledge of national sales processes and managing key accounts., • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS: • Master’s degree in business administration or related discipline., • Experience in the specific industry relevant to the company’s products or services., • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools., • Demonstrated success in managing large sales territories across multiple states., • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region. Knowledge of: • Excellent communication, organizational, and self-motivational skills, • High level of integrity, confidence, • Wine knowledgeable, from the vineyard to the table SKILLS: • The required skills such as regional sales, distributor sales, and territory sales are essential for daily activities including planning and executing sales strategies tailored to specific geographic areas. Managing sales volume and national accounts requires strong analytical and relationship-building skills to meet and exceed revenue goals. The ability to develop and implement sales plans ensures that the team remains focused and aligned with overall business objectives. Preferred skills like proficiency with CRM tools and experience in the relevant industry enhance the manager’s capability to track performance and respond to market changes effectively. Leadership and communication skills are critical for motivating the sales team and fostering collaboration with distributors and key clients. Ability to: • Possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and be able to meet the company's insurance requirements, • Forge strong professional relationships in short timeframes PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Sit for an extended period up to 10-12 hours, • Ability to walk in both indoor and outdoor manufacturing environments, • Perform tasks using standard computer equipment, • May be required to package items, lift, push and carry boxes up to 20 lbs., • Ability to stoop, bend, climb, kneed, crouch, and twist, • Ability to ascend and descent ramps, steps, ladders, and stairs using three-point contact HOURS AND WORKDAYS Shift 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, weekends and nights may be mandatory based on business needs.
