We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and timely processing payroll and ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations. • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
• Calculate and input payroll data, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and commission payments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports.
• Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, vacation/sick leave, and retirement plans.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including tax and wage laws.
• Work closely with HR to resolve any payroll related issues or discrepancies.
• Conduct regular audits to identify and correct any payroll errors.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all employee information. Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of federal and state regulations.
• Proficient in ADP or other payroll software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
