Location Requirement: This is an in-person position based in Austin, TX. Candidates outside the Austin area or out of state must relocate. After onboarding and training, this full-time role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing you to work from home 2-3 days per week and in-office 2-3 days per week. We are on the hunt for a Legal Nurse Consultant with deep nursing insights, ready to merge their medical expertise with the legal realm. As a valuable asset to our team, your primary duties will include: • Reviewing and analyzing medical records in personal injury cases., • Translating intricate medical terminologies into language comprehensible for attorneys., • Managing the record retrieval process, ensuring that every detail is in its rightful place., • Taking the lead when a case becomes "deposition ready" from a record standpoint., • Creating clear and concise chronologies from medical, employment, and other records, equipping our attorneys with the tools they need., • Spearheading the identification and collaboration with potential medical experts. Does diving into medical records, liaising with potential expert witnesses, and collaborating closely with our team of dedicated paralegals and attorneys sound exhilarating to you? Then, let's look at what you bring to the table: • Active license in good standing with Texas Board of Nursing, • BSN preferred, • A minimum of three years nursing experience in hospital/direct patient care; any experience in trauma/neuro/critical care will certainly make you stand out!, • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel., • Stellar communication skills - both written and verbal., • The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting and being a brilliant team player., • Legal experience, especially as a Legal Nurse Consultant, is a welcome addition.
