Your day-to-day will involve abstracting complex lease agreements, coordinating with Accounts Payable and Operations for expense approvals, and interacting with landlords to resolve billing disputes or reconcile charges. SDAU is seeking a survey data analyst to support data operations and management, cleaning, and analysis for data collected by the unit. The analyst will primarily support the work of the NYC Health Panel, a survey panel maintained by the NYC Department of Health, but they may also contribute to data-related activities for other Agency surveys. Responsibilities: DOHMH is seeking one full-time Survey Data Analyst within the Center for Population Health Data Science, Bureau of Epidemiology Services (BES), and will be reporting to the NYC Health Panel Data Infrastructure Manager. The Survey Data Analyst will support activities from the start to finish of survey data collection and processing. Additionally, they will assist with data management activities related to the NYC Health Panel’s management of enrolled panelists. Job Description The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) is a joint program of Safe Horizon and the New York City Police Department (NYPD)that has assigned advocates to every police precinct and Police Service Area (PSA), 86, in total, citywide. Some precincts have two advocates assigned (a crime victim advocate and a domestic violence victim advocate) except for several identified precincts with one advocate. The precincts with one advocate are assigned to work with all victims of crime, including victims of domestic violence. Advocates literally sit side by side with police officers and NYPD civilian personnel and rarely have their own office space. As such, they develop skills where they address the lack of privacy with clients, while navigating a shared space with an outside entity- the NYPD. Advocates are required to report to the precinct/PSA each day for their shift. The Safe Horizon crime victim advocate/domestic violence advocate partners with the police personnel to provide outreach to victims who have filed police reports, or victims who walk into a precinct and seek assistance. The advocate will enter client information into the Case Management System in a timely fashion. The advocate will work with all victims of crime who need help from the NYPD with a specific focus for victims who filed a report as victims of violent felony offense as well as victims of domestic violence who have filed police reports on an as-needed basis. Given the volume in many precincts, advocates will assess high risk and focus on their on-going support for victims identified as such. Job Description The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) is a joint program of Safe Horizon and the New York City Police Department (NYPD)that has assigned advocates to every police precinct and Police Service Area (PSA), 86, in total, citywide. Some precincts have two advocates assigned (a crime victim advocate and a domestic violence victim advocate) except for several identified precincts with one advocate. The precincts with one advocate are assigned to work with all victims of crime, including victims of domestic violence. Advocates literally sit side by side with police officers and NYPD civilian personnel and rarely have their own office space. As such, they develop skills where they address the lack of privacy with clients, while navigating a shared space with an outside entity- the NYPD. Advocates are required to report to the precinct/PSA each day for their shift. The Safe Horizon crime victim advocate/domestic violence advocate partners with the police personnel to provide outreach to victims who have filed police reports, or victims who walk into a precinct and seek assistance. The advocate will enter client information into the Case Management System in a timely fashion. The advocate will work with all victims of crime who need help from the NYPD with a specific focus for victims who filed a report as victims of violent felony offense as well as victims of domestic violence who have filed police reports on an as-needed basis. Job Description The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) is a joint program of Safe Horizon and the New York City Police Department (NYPD)that has assigned advocates to every police precinct and Police Service Area (PSA), 86, in total, citywide. Some precincts have two advocates assigned (a crime victim advocate and a domestic violence victim advocate) except for several identified precincts with one advocate. The precincts with one advocate are assigned to work with all victims of crime, including victims of domestic violence. Advocates literally sit side by side with police officers and NYPD civilian personnel and rarely have their own office space. As such, they develop skills where they address the lack of privacy with clients, while navigating a shared space with an outside entity- the NYPD. Advocates are required to report to the precinct/PSA each day for their shift. The Safe Horizon crime victim advocate/domestic violence advocate partners with the police personnel to provide outreach to victims who have filed police reports, or victims who walk into a precinct and seek assistance. The advocate will enter client information into the Case Management System in a timely fashion. The advocate will work with all victims of crime who need help from the NYPD with a specific focus for victims who filed a report as victims of violent felony offense as well as victims of domestic violence who have filed police reports on an as-needed basis. Given the volume in many precincts, advocates will assess high risk and focus on their on-going support for victims identified as such. Job Description Safe Horizon’s Senior DV Victim Advocate (SVD) works within the SVD of NYPD. The advocate partners with police personnel to provide a coordinated, victim-centered approach to teen and adult victims of sexual assault to reduce trauma and improve the quality of services victims receive. Job Description The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) is a joint program of Safe Horizon and the New York City Police Department (NYPD)that has assigned advocates to every police precinct and Police Service Area (PSA), 86, in total, citywide. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Provide academic support, homework guidance, assistance, and supervision to students., • Organize, lead, and promote the students’ interest and participation in the activities offered by you or the program., • Supervise groups of students while maintaining their physical and emotional safety and health., • Foster an atmosphere of fun and learning, and serve as a role model to students., • Always conducting yourself professionally and maintaining appropriate boundaries., • Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order among the students., • Maintain effective classroom management that encourages full participation and student growth., • Closely coordinate with the Program Director and coworkers for any programmatic changes or any other issues or concerns., • Participate in staff meetings, program evaluations, program improvement, and professional development training throughout the school year. COMPENSATION: • Work paid at $18 an hour., • Employees who are approved and assigned to teach classes will receive the Teaching Artist hourly rate of $21 an hour for the hours they are actively teaching.
