Job Description Position Summary The CFO is responsible for the Information Technology, Administration, Finance and Accounting, Tax Planning, Contracts, Insurance and Legal Risk Management functions for Gravity Enterprises. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Financial Strategy and Planning:, • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's overall objectives. Oversee the creation and periodic updating of the financial projections for the Operating Entities of Gravity Enterprises and provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance and business growth., • Negotiate the financing of Gravity Enterprises capital expenditures and Lines of Credit to include the most favorable terms and conditions, interest rates, prepayment penalties, cross collateralization provisions, financial covenants and favorable wording within the loan documents and providing PGs by the principals of Gravity Enterprises only in rare instances discussed in advance with the CEO., • Negotiate Insurance Contracts with multiple brokers for Gravity Enterprises and for Lee Steinberg personally., • Oversee the annual tax planning for Lee M. Steinberg and Gravity Enterprises working closely with the outside CPA firm., • Oversight of Accounting Team:, • Manage the Gravity Enterprises accounting function collaborating closely with the Controller to ensure the timely and accurate issuance of monthly financial statements along with comparisons to budget and prior year results., • Oversee the annual external financial audits for both MCI Venture, Inc. and INQUIPCO by the outside CPA firm. Manage audits of all Gravity Enterprise companies by local and federal governmental agencies to include Sales and Use Tax, Income Tax and Personal Property Tax audits., • Develops financial accounting, billing and auditing procedures and systems required for the successful operation and management of Gravity Enterprises and its companies., • Oversight of IT, Contracts & Legal Matters:, • Oversee Business Systems Analyst and ensure progress is being made on strategic initiatives., • Oversee the Contracts Manager to ensure Gravity Enterprises negotiates the most favorable terms and conditions with the least exposure with Customers;, • Work closely with legal and insurance adjusters on all claims filed against Gravity Enterprises., • Financial Reporting:, • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements., • Create a dashboard and ensure it is updated in a timely and accurate manner for management meetings., • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations., • Budgeting and Forecasting:, • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial plans., • Risk Management:, • Identify and assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them., • Monitor market trends and industry developments that may impact on the company's financial stability., • Cash Flow Management:, • Manage cash flow to support day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives., • Optimize working capital and liquidity., • Financial Controls:, • Establish and maintain robust financial controls and procedures., • Conduct periodic financial audits to ensure compliance and accuracy., • Strategic Partnerships:, • Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate potential investments, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives., • Oversee the day-to-day commercial banking relationship with Gravity Enterprise Banks., • Manage the relationship with our outside IT Consultants to ensure that Gravity Enterprises has a stable and secure Network with adequate backups along with a contingency plan to restore service in the event of a major data issue by an act of nature or intentional sabotage from internal or external forces., • Function as Plan Administrator of the Gravity Enterprises 401K Plan in partnership with HR. Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or University. Advanced degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred., • CPA certification preferred., • Minimum of 10 years of finance and accounting experience required at corporate, regional or substantial operating unit level of a successful business entity.
