Job DescriptionDescription: This role works in close partnership with the Lead Machinist and engineering teams to ensure efficient, high-quality production within CTech Manufacturing’s R&D environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical precision, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in support of both standard production and specialty projects. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the Lead Machinist to set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production standards., • Execute production tasks in alignment with the established schedule, maintaining high efficiency and meeting critical deadlines., • Partner with engineering teams to provide manufacturing feedback and suggestions, contributing to part designs optimized for fabrication ease and cost-effectiveness., • Perform conversational programming on applicable CNC machines, with additional programming tasks as needed to support efficient and accurate part production., • Prepare raw stock materials prior to machining operations, including measuring, cutting, counting, and scanning barcodes to maintain inventory accuracy., • Conduct routine machine maintenance according to schedule to ensure continued performance, minimize downtime, and extend equipment lifespan., • Develop a thorough understanding of CTech’s product line and their applications, offering insights and suggestions for product and process improvements., • Support specialty projects as needed, including custom parts, prototypes, and other unique manufacturing challenges., • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace to promote a safe and efficient R&D environment., • Exhibit a positive attitude and adaptability, with strong multitasking skills in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. Requirements: Qualifications: • 1–3 years of experience operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, or both) in a manufacturing or R&D environment, • Proficient in CNC machine setup, including loading tools, fixtures, and raw material, • Experience with conversational programming (e.g., FANUC, MITSUBISHI or similar controls), • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols, • Familiarity with basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.), • Comfortable working from a production schedule and meeting deadlines, • Basic understanding of machine maintenance procedures, • Capable of manual material prep, including cutting, counting, and barcode scanning for inventory tracking, • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Full-time, First Shift, (Monday–Thursday 7-4) (Friday 7-1) (occasional overtime as needed).
