Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, placement of ventricular assist devices, and may include placement of impella or intra - aortic balloon pump placement as well as adult ECMO. The CVOR service line is comprised of 4-6 ORs depending on daily volume including an endovascular suite. Candidates applying to this order must have a minimum of 3 years of recent full time experience as a CVOR technologist in a high volume hospital setting, with demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac/thoracic/vascular procedures. Candidates with less experience or requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered Current CST certification required, must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed. Must be able to function independently in a fast paced surgical environment with the ability to “hit the ground running.” The schedule will either be 8, 10 or 12 day hour shifts Monday-Friday based on department need at the time of interview. Candidates must also participate in call coverage for the service line after normal business hours and weekends.
