The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, invites applications for open-rank faculty positions in Orthopedic Surgery. We are currently recruiting board-certified or board-eligible orthopedic surgeons with fellowship training in the following subspecialty areas: • Foot and Ankle Surgery, • Orthopedic Trauma Surgery These positions offer an outstanding opportunity to join one of the nation's premier orthopedic departments and a world-renowned academic medical center. Faculty members will be primarily based at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, a leading regional medical institution serving the diverse communities of Brooklyn, and a key component of Columbia's expanding network. Responsibilities include: • Building and maintaining a busy clinical practice in your area of subspecialty, • Participating in the education and training of residents, fellows, and medical students, • Engaging in academic scholarship and research, with access to Columbia's robust resources and collaborative research community, • Collaborating with a team of full-time and voluntary faculty across the Columbia and NewYork-Presbyterian network, • M.D. or equivalent medical degree, • Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery, • Fellowship-trained in one of the specified subspecialties We are seeking candidates who demonstrate: • A strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and academic achievement, • Dedication to teaching and mentorship in an academic environment, • Collaborative spirit and interest in multidisciplinary practice and research, • Excellent communication, administrative, and organizational skills Pay Transparency Disclosure The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
