Currently, we're on the lookout for Direct Support Professionals to lend support to participants in our Tailored Day Services Program. Our mission is to carve out a space for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, encouraging them to envision a life without limitations and then guiding them toward turning that vision into a reality., • Inclusive Environment: Join an organization that values diversity, anti-racism, and inclusion in all aspects of our work., • Comprehensive Benefits: Enjoy competitive compensation starting at $19.00 - $22.00/hour, along with a generous benefits package., • Provide individual support in the home or community setting as identified in the participant’s Individualized Personal Plan., • Work closely with the participant’s support team to identify needs and develop plans., • Navigate private and public resources to create opportunities for growth, develop skills, and meet specific goals outlined in the Individual Service Design and IPP., • Travel with participants throughout the local community to attend social events, recreational activities, school, etc., • Advocate for participants’ rights and individual choice in all settings and provide services in accordance with HCBS Final Rule guidelines., • Complete required documentation, including daily notes, activities using Buildability digital platforms, and written reports of client progress or barriers encountered in meeting goals., • Part-time position (15 - 25 hours per week), • Day shift, Monday to Friday, • Weekend availability, • Paid Sick Time (56 hours), • Mileage Reimbursement and Paid Travel Time, • Employee Assistance Program, • 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan, • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their family members, employers, and others in a positive and constructive manner., • High school diploma or GED., • Must pass a DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting background clearance., • Valid California Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation., • Willing to travel: up to 75%., • Proof of two COVID-19 vaccination doses or submit a request for accommodation based upon a medical condition or deeply held religious belief., • Fluent in Spanish., • Familiarity with the Los Angeles Metro system (MetroGo app, route planning, etc.)., • Experience with resource navigation (Transportation resources, accessibility resources, etc.)., • Experience with technology., • Knowledge of HCBS Final rule guidelines., • Crisis management skills.
