Albuquerque offers a vibrant culture, stunning desert landscapes, and outdoor adventures—making it a top destination for healthcare professionals seeking travel nursing jobs in New Mexico.\n \n\nMICU RN Job Details\n\n • Location: Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico healthcare jobs)\n, • Facility: Level I Trauma, Teaching, Children's Hospital\n, • Contract Length: 13 weeks\n, • Start Date: January 26, 2026\n, • End Date: April 27, 2026\n, • Shifts: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30)\n, • Hours per Week: 36 or 48 (contract preference available)\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:2\n, • Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 per week (facility may call off up to 3x during assignment)\n, • Weekend Requirement: Varies based on unit needs\n, • Orientation: 36 hours\n, • Parking: Free on-site\n, • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1660 - $1700\n\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NM RN license can be pending at submission)\n, • Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU nursing experience (critical care jobs)\n, • Certifications: ACLS & BLS (American Heart Association; no RQI certifications accepted)\n, • Proficiency with telemetry, ventilators, arterial and central lines, and vasoactive drip titrations\n, • Ability to float to other ICUs, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Emergency Department (ED), and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as needed\n, • Non-local candidates only (must reside more than 75 miles from facility)\n, • COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n, • Personal transportation required\n\n\nMICU RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the MICU\n, • Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions: sepsis, ARDS, renal disease, GI bleed, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and more\n, • Operate and manage specialty equipment: CRRT, ECMO, Impella, IABP, ventilators, arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters, transvenous pacers, cooling devices\n, • Administer blood products, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and interpret/manage dysrhythmias\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response\n, • Float to other units within scope to meet hospital needs\n We believe in empowering your career.
