The Role: Most/all of the following service tasks are to be completed daily depending on your role. Job Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Plans, directs, and organizes the operation of a twenty-four-hour security program., • Recruits, hires, and trains all new security staff., • Prepares staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage of each shift., • Develops and implements plans for ongoing staff training and skill development., • Serves as fire and safety director overseeing all safety related matters including:, • Evacuation procedures, • Enforcement of rules and regulations, • Correcting violations, • Liaison with police, fire department, and other enforcement agencies, • Schedule, conduct, and document fire drills, • Reviews and advises on safety related policies and procedures., • Ensures preparation and timely delivery of monthly reports, incident reports and all required documentation., • Holds regular staff meetings, ensures ongoing accurate communication, and attends scheduled staff and supervisory meetings., • May be required to work weekends and night hours., • May advice personnel at other HPCDC sites on security related matters. Employee may be required to carry out additional duties as assigned by Supervisor. Job Description Title: Site Director Location: Salary Range: $100,000/annual - FLSA Exempt – Full Time – 35 hours/week Role Summary: The Site Director for the Transitional Housing Program will lead and manage a program designed to support single women, men, and families with children who are transitioning out of homelessness in New York City. The Site Director will ensure that the program aligns with DHS guidelines, providing critical housing, case management, and support services to help clients achieve stability, self-sufficiency, and long-term housing solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in homeless services, knowledge of city policies, and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable populations. Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties: The core responsibilities of a Site Director include, but are not limited to: Program Management: • Oversee and monitor program adherence to all DHS, OTDA, and any other regulatory agencies rules and regulations., • Ensure compliance with funding contracts, partnership and service agreements, and all applicable city, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations., • Ensure residents receive quality services per NAICA’s mission and program requirements., • Develop and implement program policies and procedures that reflect the latest best practices in homeless services, trauma-informed care, and client centered approaches., • Participate in the timely reporting, investigating, and documenting for all priority incidents to senior leadership and all appropriate reporting agencies i.e. DHS, ACS, NYPD, etc., as required by all applicable regulations and laws., • Ensure that the program’s facility is code compliant with HPD, DOB, DHS, DOHMH, FDNY, and OTDA., • Collaborate with service linkage agreement providers to provide a full range of services for the residents of the program., • Recruit, hire, and train program staff., • Provide leadership for program staff and direct supervision for the Director of Social Services and Director of Operations and Security., • Conduct regular training and professional development opportunities for staff to stay current on city regulations, homelessness-related services, and trauma-informed practices., • Ensure staff are properly trained and certified per OTDA and DHS rules, including one-time and reoccurring trainings/certifications., • Lead weekly staff meetings and quarterly Community Advisory Board Meetings., • Monitor program performance by collecting and analyzing data on housing outcomes, clients’ needs and service utilization, ensuring compliance with NAICA and DHS reporting standards., • Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for NAICA senior leadership, DHS, and other stakeholders., • Conduct program audits and evaluations to ensure that the program remains in compliance with funders and regulators., • Respond timely to requests from funders, regulators, and senior leadership., • Implement strategies for continuous improvement based on data analysis, client feedback, and city policy change. Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks., • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds., • May be required to work shifts that include evenings or night tours and/or Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays with holiday pay differential., • This is a full-time, exempt position. While standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, exempt employees are expected to work the hours necessary to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on organizational needs, deadlines, or events., • Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English for administrative purposes., • Must pass drug screening to be appointed., • This position may be subject to a series of investigations before and after appointment., • Bachelor’s degree in human services in addition to 2+ years of supervisory experience in human services or;, • Associate’s degree in a related field in addition to 10+ years of supervisory experience in human service or;, • Prior or current employment experience with NAICA, accompanied by a track record of above-average performance reviews., • Professional and impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
