Job Description CONNECTICUT GREEN BANK UNDERGRADUATE SUMMER ASSOCIATE, INVESTMENTS SUMMARY: The Connecticut Green Bank (hereafter "Green Bank") is seeking an undergraduate student to join its Investments team as an Associate during Summer 2026. We are a quasi-public authority and the nation's first state-level "Green Bank," leveraging public funds to increase and accelerate private investment in the green economy of Connecticut. An Undergraduate Summer Associate position with the Green Bank is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable finance and investment experience working with one of the leading green banks in the nation. The Green Bank is a mission-oriented organization that designs, structures, and invests in clean energy investments and sponsors programmatic opportunities that foster the deployment and growth of clean energy technology and infrastructure to build a low carbon future for Connecticut. Since our inception in 2011, the Green Bank has mobilized $1.7 billion of investment into Connecticut's economy. Our mission is to confront climate change and provide all of society a healthier and more prosperous future by increasing and accelerating the flow of private capital into markets that energize the green economy. The Undergraduate Summer Associate will work in a collaborative environment with an exceptional team of experts in climate finance and other climate-related disciplines on investments, projects, and products related to renewable energy, energy efficiency, and finance in the furtherance of the Green Bank's programs and goals. We are seeking an undergraduate student with a strong interest in sustainability, clean energy, and/or project finance to match their academic work with professional work experience. The Summer Associate will work on all aspects of the financial structuring, investing, and asset management process. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating curriculum, research, and/or practical experience in these areas. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: The Undergraduate Summer Associate will be a fully participating member of the Green Bank team from day one. Individual responsibilities may include: • Participation in all parts of the investment process, including but not limited to, assisting in sourcing and updating pipeline, performing due diligence on prospective investments, and preparing investment memos and recommendations;, • Data collection and analysis to inform cash flow modeling for individual projects, programs, or investments;, • Research and document preparation for external and internal stakeholder meetings;, • Assistance with coordinating various program stakeholders;, • Assistance and analysis with EM&V of various programs;, • Preparation of research reports and materials related to the Green Bank's existing programs or areas of potential program development;, • Data collection to inform analyses of clean versus conventional energy at an individual, firm, or community level; and, The following minimum qualifications in knowledge, skill and ability are required: • Applicants must have a strong and demonstrated interest in clean energy finance and/or policy through their coursework, work experience, and/or extracurricular activities;, • Strong financial skills including accounting, corporate finance, project finance, analyzing and projecting complex cash flows, general quantitative analysis, valuation, and Excel modeling;, • Ability to work efficiently on assigned tasks independently or with little assistance;, • Creative problem-solving abilities and a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results in a challenging, fast-paced environment;, • Significant level of maturity and the ability to work under pressure as a part of a small team with top company executives and senior management;, • Strong communication and engagement skills, including writing and the ability to read and interpret complex documents (including legal documents); Highly motivated recent graduate or current matriculant with strong academic standing in an undergraduate degree program relevant to clean energy or finance. EMPLOYMENT DETAILS: • This position reports directly to the Associate Director, Investments., • It is expected that the position will be based in the Green Bank's South Norwalk, CT office (moving from Stamford in Spring 2026), with opportunities to work out of our Hartford, CT headquarters and for some remote work., • Green Bank internships run between 10-12 weeks from May-September., • This is a 40-hour per week opportunity and paid at $25 per hour., • Frequent communications, verbal and written, both qualitative and quantitative, • Visually or otherwise identify, observe, and assess The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
